Vienna Swimming Pool Hotels

Have just returned from VCA at Scottenring 33 (Apartment 6), and have not a bad word to say. The booking was effortless, and the optional extra of the limousine pickup was worth every penny. The apartment totally exceeded our expectations and has spoilt us for all future trips. The apartment managed to maintain character with its high ceilings and large rooms, but its sensitively designed modern layout gave you the best of both worlds. This place has to be experienced to be belived. As my title says, I have reviewed over 40 5star hotels throughout the world and this is the only one that I have ever awarded 5 stars to. If you are in Vienna and can afford the the rooms then treat yourself and stay. There is no city hotel that comes close to the discreet and wonderful Palais Coburg. For my first trip to Vienna, I was very happy with the Le Méridien. The location is perfect: on the Ring, opposite the Opera House, very close to the shops of Kärtnerstraße, and very near the Karlsplatz U-Bahn station, which provided direct access to the Messe Wien convention centre. The front lobby and the rooms are very chic and modern, but not so much so that you feel out of place if you're over 25! (As, for example, in a W Hotel.) This is one hotel I picked from previous reviews, and decided I had to post my own. This hotel is not very centrally located, but transportation in Vienna is incredible. The 44 tram stops right across the street, and will take you to the University area (Ringstrasse) in less than 5 minutes, where there is abundant transportation, as well as many attractions around, so we considered it a very convenient hotel. Note that the 44 only runs until midnight, and after that, one will have to take the - Hendrik

My wife and I stayed at the Alla Lenz in mid April. Our room was probably the most thoughtfully laid out of any hotel room we have had in our extensive travels. It was comfortable, quiet, with good beds but, best of all, was designed for the traveller (unlike many rooms which are either crammed into old buildings or build to fit the designer's trendy ideas). Good breakfast buffet, friendly and helpful personnel and very convenient parking (lift directly to the public parking beside the hotel). A - Wendy
