Hotels near University Wien

We had a good stay at this hotel.The staff were good.We had a triple room.It was big enough.Free internet was in access.breakfast was pretty good.The women at the front desk were helpful and polite.Different maps and tour guides were in access.Threre were refrigerator and safty box in room.The bad parts were:the room floor was from wood and very noisy,there was car noise fram the street,the metro station was far(15 min walk) but you can use bus station near the hotel to reach to the metro statio - George

We stayed in a studio apartment, number 18. Lovely huge comfy bed, loads of space, nice coffee table and chairs, basic but OK kitchenette with fridge but tiny kettle. Shower no bath tub. Very clean and bright. Good location, supermarket 2 minutes walk open for fresh bread, croisssants from 07:15. Trams frequent with connections to metro and other trams or walk to most places in the centre in half an hour or so. I'll stay again - great discounts on Expedia. Love Vienna! - Lynne

Location was just at the outskirts of Innere Stadt where the city center was located. Hotel was next to the tram and bus line, and a few stops from the metro (subway). Transportation was easy and hotel was probably 15 mins away from the city center. Safe neighborhood with grocery store, restaurants and small shopping boutiques a few doors away. A hotel with very limited amenities as to be expected for the price. Tiny room with no body soap, shampoo or conditioner, hairdryer or iron. However, - Satita

We stayed three nights at the hotel/apartments and found it excellent. Kudos for the hotel staff for putting a bit of effort in explaining how to get to different locations around Vienna. The location of the hotel is also handy with only a five minute walk to the Rathuis metro and ideally located for visiting major tourist sites. It was surprisingly hot while we were there and the fan in the room was very much needed. My only gripe would be that breakfast could include some fruit and perhaps som - John

Room was decent and clean. Day and evening staff (Ina and Denise) were really helpful and friendly. Weekend staff not so much. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The room was very large by European standards. Old building, no air conditioning. Noise from the street was a problem since we needed the windows open. You might want to ask for a room not facing the street. Great location just 10 minutes or so from Rathaus. Most sights were within walkable distance. Tickets for public transit, if nee - Victor

I liked it. The rooms were huge, as were the bathrooms, and both were very clean. Transport is easy - the tran runs just outside the front door and you can get to anywhere very easily from here. The only downside is the lack of restaurants in walking distance, but then with the tram so close it isn't hard to jump a couple of stops to find more. Breakfast is also good. All up, definitely somewhere I'd stay again. - David

I stayed at the Pernsion Andreas for a week in Sept. 2005. I reached the hotel by taxi from the City Airport train station (roughly 10 Euros), but one can also take the U-Bahn (one transfer) and get within several blocks. The pension is on a quite side street behind the Rathaus. Two Strassenbahn lines are within a couple blocks from the pension, one of which will take you to the Ring. I had previously stayed at the Austria Trend Wilhelminenburg Hotel on my last trip to Vienna, which I thoroughly enjoyed. This time I decided that I would try out a more centrally located hotel, and I was not to be disappointed. The same excellent service and cleanliness I had come to expect, coupled with a great location made this the perfect hotel for exploring Vienna with my partner. Perfect Location for walking to key places of interest. About a 20 min walk to Stephansdom. Nice, large and clean rooms Polite and helpful staff Good choice at breakfast Restaurant Roth good for evening meals and reasonably priced for a hotel restaurant Be prepared for Vienna to be expensive, especially the way the euro is at the moment to the british pound.
