Vienna 5* star luxury Hotels

For my first trip to Vienna, I was very happy with the Le Méridien. The location is perfect: on the Ring, opposite the Opera House, very close to the shops of Kärtnerstraße, and very near the Karlsplatz U-Bahn station, which provided direct access to the Messe Wien convention centre. The front lobby and the rooms are very chic and modern, but not so much so that you feel out of place if you're over 25! (As, for example, in a W Hotel.) The room was lovely and the breakfast buffet was varied and delicious. The pianist playing in the lobby was delightful. The hotel is very well situated close to many interesting places, and very handy for the underground. The staff were uniformly polite and very helpful, and I was particularly charmed by Mr Kirienko, the manager, who was kind enough to let me practise my German. Love the location of this hotel. Behind the hotel is where most of the attractions are. state opera house, stephan cathedral and shopping area. In front of the hotel is stadpark which is open for 24hrs. walk a little bit further is the belvedere gallery. everything is walking distance. however, the underground and tram station is nearby. - Margaret

Great hotel: Rooms are huge--ceilings must be 18 feet high, washrooms impeccable, clean, friendly service. Location is great--close to shopping, restaurants, St. Stephen's, etc. Didn't try the food. A/C worked well. Stay there. You'll be glad you did. - Xin

What a fabulous hotel! My husband and I stayed at the Ring during our 5 night stay in Vienna and it made our trip so incredibly special. When making the reservation, my husband mentioned that I am pregnant and upon check-in, I was told that the hotel would be treating me to a complimentary prenatal massage! We also received a complimentary upgrade to the X-Ordinary room which was gorgeous, spacious and immaculate with a beautiful view to the Ringstrasse. Based in a fabulously central location. in Vienna. The concierge were very helpful and friendly guiding us to restaurants that were fun, buzzy and good food. Our room...a double ensuite was DIVINE. We had a lovely area to in the room to have a drink before going out and the most GORGEOUS bathroom....huge bath and lovely modern power shower and 2 basins. The hotel provided fabulous service. Make sure you book a room that is not on the road or you will find its noisy. Breakfast was delicious. My o - James

absolutley brillaint, uber mordern room loads of space and beautifully furnished! hue bathroom. the bed was sooo comfy! free mini bar for first usage! staff were expceitonall friendly ad helpful. would definately recommend!! - Kenneth

Very clean room, well maintained. Small fridge is the mini-bar, but still has enough space to store a couple bottles of water or dinner leftovers. Early check-in was allowed. Buffet breakfast each morning was included in our room rate and was plentiful, varied and tasty - kept us going for a good part of the day. Proximity to U-bahn and Schoenbrunn were plusses, easy trip to Vienna center and Westbahnhof. Staff were consistently very pleasant and helpful. We look forward to a return stay. - Unity

We stayed in the Hotel de France in Vienna for three days, all of which proved to be fantastic. Much of this impression is due to the hotel. This is REAL value for money, if you aren't looking for the cheapest accomodation. The location is great - just a few steps from the U-bahn Schottentor, and within walking distance from the cultural centre. We did not know much German, yet, following the signs in the underground it was easy to find the way there from the Airport. The first evening we explor - Ian

Right next to the herrengasse U station and bang in the middle of the old town circle, this hotel is done up elegantly and has very comfortable rooms..Was reasonably priced at 144 Euro per night first week of Oct - no breakfast - Tom

We stayed at the Hilton Vienna Plaza for 2 nights during the third week of September. We used our HHonors points for the reservation. Upon check-in we were upgraded to a corner suite which was fantastic!! Breakfast and evening snacks were included as we were given access to the lounge. The location of the hotel is fantastic. The U-2 line is right next to the hotel and the station for U-4 (which takes one directly to Schonbrunn Palace) is about a 5-10-min walk. The Stephanplatz area, whi - Angela
