Vienna 3* star Hotels

Simple but very good hotel. Very clean apartment, simple breakfast, friendly staff. The location is good - 7 min. walking to the main subway station and 12 min. to downtown/Hofburg. Good value for the money. - Alexander

An excellent experience. Breakfast is ok and the restaurant personnel attentive (when you arrive in the restaurant, is not necessary to bag for a coffee, a waitress come and ask you immediately). The rooms are new, but the glass door at WC (not hermetic close) makes impossible to go there with work colleagues or your girl friend in the first 6 moths… J The place is quiet and near Prater and subway station (Messe Prater). - Richard

Positive while somebody's staying at Adagio City Aparthotel Wien Zentrum is almost...everything! Great and wiling to help staff, absolutely gorgeous, very big, high aesthetics apartments, too cheap especially comparing with what you take! - Marios

We had originally booked the nearby Hotel Alpha for six nights. As we were dissatisfied with the Alpha (see separate review) during our stay, we intended to check out after three nights and move to a different hotel in the same neighborhood. This is how we found the Hotel Zipser, a few streets away from the Alpha. We were particularly looking for a hotel that offers affordable WiFi (the Alpha charges an exorbitant EUR 8.00 per hour), and the Zipser does offer free Internet access in all rooms an - David

Modern, nice and clean rooms; maybe the bathroom needs a bit of refurbishing. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Very closed to the downtown, very well interconected Metro. - David

Breakfast was great with about everything European on the buffet and included in the price of the room. Large room and large bathroom. Shower was a challenge, but it felt good! Was the staff teasing or were they strange, we never did figure out, but they were interesting. Maybe they were just tired of dumb questions from tourists! It is about 4 blocks from the underground and maybe 5 to the tram, but it was a nice walk. The neighborhood is not upscale and the inhabitants are immigrant middle - Shirley

I was very pleased with Hotel Crystal! During Easter my family traveled around Europe so we had to search for good value hotels. I soon realized that hotels in Vienna were quite expensive when compared to Prague, for example. In the end I chose Hotel Crystal because of the price I have to say.... But I wasnt disappointed. We staid in a huge room with two double beds and plenty of extra space. For 4 people the room was perfect! The breakfast was also very good.Another plus is the patio where you - Michelle

Hotel Alpha is very nice and clean hotel. It is not a luxury, but we have nothing to complain with. Breakfast is also very good. Though some french people complained, because there was not any black tea ( there was at least five different tea)... but next morning there was also black tea. The location is good: you can easily walk to city center and the metro station is also close. Our room in the 4th floor was hot, but then we found an air-conditioner and got a remote control from staff. Last mo - Carol

I visited Wien in January 2009. Very clean room, warm, close to the subway station(200m, purple line). - John

The hotel is close to the train station which is directly linked to Airport and also on the main metro line into the city centre and also close to the city theme park. The room was quiet, clean with mini bar and very clean bathroom. Breakfast was very good, especially the coffee machine! Very pleased with our choice. I would have given higher score for value, if Sterling wasnt so cheap against Euro. - Howard

Being adjacent to the ring road, there was a degree of traffic noise but this was not disturbing to us. A quieter air conditioning system would also have been appreciated but at least it was very effective. That has got the negatives out of the way! Offset against these were a spacious and comfortable room; high standard of cleanliness; friendly, helpful and courteous employees; excellent buffet breakfast and ideal location for access to public transport system. - Donald

I stayed in this hotel 3 times and all are a great deal. better than most of the other suithotels in EU, few steps to metro, clean, secure, helpfull staf. Great deal for that rate. Ideal for families up to 4 people. - Anne
