Vienna Apartments

Mercure hotels are our favourite mid-range chain and this one didn't disappoint. The location is excellent, tucked away in a very quiet road but only around 10 minutes walk from the castle and museum quarter. Also very close to a subway station and tram line, plus walking from the hotel away from the city centre takes you into interesting and less touristy areas. Our room was large, though I think we struck lucky judging by the floor plan. It overlooked an internal courtyard also used for breakf - Stewart

Love the location of this hotel. Behind the hotel is where most of the attractions are. state opera house, stephan cathedral and shopping area. In front of the hotel is stadpark which is open for 24hrs. walk a little bit further is the belvedere gallery. everything is walking distance. however, the underground and tram station is nearby. - Margaret

Positive while somebody's staying at Adagio City Aparthotel Wien Zentrum is almost...everything! Great and wiling to help staff, absolutely gorgeous, very big, high aesthetics apartments, too cheap especially comparing with what you take! - Marios

Modern, nice and clean rooms; maybe the bathroom needs a bit of refurbishing. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Very closed to the downtown, very well interconected Metro. - David

I was very pleased with Hotel Crystal! During Easter my family traveled around Europe so we had to search for good value hotels. I soon realized that hotels in Vienna were quite expensive when compared to Prague, for example. In the end I chose Hotel Crystal because of the price I have to say.... But I wasnt disappointed. We staid in a huge room with two double beds and plenty of extra space. For 4 people the room was perfect! The breakfast was also very good.Another plus is the patio where you - Michelle

Being adjacent to the ring road, there was a degree of traffic noise but this was not disturbing to us. A quieter air conditioning system would also have been appreciated but at least it was very effective. That has got the negatives out of the way! Offset against these were a spacious and comfortable room; high standard of cleanliness; friendly, helpful and courteous employees; excellent buffet breakfast and ideal location for access to public transport system. - Donald

As others have said, great location next to public transport but easy walking distance to old city. Also a great microbrewery with beer garden close that front desk recommended. Everyone (except one) were extra extra friendly and nice. We are a family of 4 with 2 adult children and had booked a family room (2 rooms one twin bedded with shared bath) and ended up with an apartment with kitchen/ living area. A superb hotel, clean, comfortable, and right next to Westbahnhof, all for a bargain price. The bathroom had everything you needed and was clean (so many hotels fail to even get the bathroom right). A special mention goes to the superb buffet breakfast, which offered everything imaginable. You can skip lunch after sampling that. The only complaint would be that there was no air conditioning in a humid, hot city in August. It isn't luxury, but then I neither expected nor needed that. - David

A friend of mine and I stayed at this centrally located hotel about 3 blocks from St. Stephens. The staff was wonderful and very helpful with directions and suggestions as where to eat. There is free wi-fi, pets are allowed. It is on a very quiet street, but there are lots of mass transportation options available within a couple of blocks. I would definitely stay there again as it is also reasonably priced. - R
