  I highly recommend The Donatello. The staff was cheerful and attentive. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The added bonus of having a smoking room where we could leave the window open without giving up our privacy was a major convenience. The kitchen extras; microwave, refrigerator, plates, etc., allowed for flexibility with our differi... what people say » ng breakfast and snack schedules. - everything! staff is very helpful, pleasant and efficient. rooms are very comfortable, nicely decorated and above all very practically designed: you find everything you need where it should be. location is superb. one of the best hotels i stayed in in a big city. in the meantime i stayed twice in this hotel.

  The Room was great. Very Clean. Hotel front desk woman with an accent wasn't warm, but helpful. The guy who worked the front desk on Saturday night was awesome. The art going up the staircase looked like a mess. I know art, this was design student style. Sorry. Just saying. Looked like elements were peeled off. Cool... If it was a cohesive piece. ... what people say » The bar was great, the continetal breakfast could have used some cooked items, I grabbed food from the mexican place next door. The elevator was slow, - The location was very central. The restaurant dinner we had was fabulous, very high quality menu. The foyer was well designed but not that welcoming for comfort.We liked the state of the art room key system. Free cocktails were great and the knowledgeable wine waiter and great waiter Ryan. General ambience,decor and atmosphere was good especially cocktail bar and live music. Considering it was a city hotel with obviously limited space we really enjoyed our stay there.

  The location and hotel was fantastic-didn't want to leave. I had hesitations about locality maybe being out of the way, but No WAy ,it was just a few blocks from everything and all that San Fran has to offer, and that's a lot! - Great location, excellent price and staff.
