Boston Hotels

My daughter and I stayed one evening at The Lenox so she could attend an interview at Tufts University. I can't say enough about the friendly and helpful staff at this hotel. When we realized that an important item had not been packed, the concierge actually ran to the store for us in the pouring rain. To me that is exceptional service. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable. If we need to travel to Boston in the future I would not hesitate to stay at the Lenox again. My only complaint is tha - David

After mixed reviews on this hotel I didn't know what to expect. It was small with no view, but who cares, it was in the heart of the city, and brief walk away from the theatre district, and Jacob Wirth's - an excellent brew house for all your beer-fans! The place was clean, and the people that worked there were all courteous. We didn't go to any shows in the theatre district, but if I return for that reason I know where I'd want to stay. - Martin

Was slightly apprehensive about the Park Plaza, particularly as my stay there was to celebrate my honeymoon with my new wife, however, I was pleasantly surprised on arrival. The building itself is very grand as is the decor in the lobby. It has an excellent postion, within walking distance of many of Boston's attractions. It also helps that its only a $20 dollar/15 minute cab ride from Logan Airport. The reception were always very friendly and helpful and on arrival my wife and I were give - John

I thought that given the excellent service the staff at the hotel gave me a positive review was the least I could offer so let me start with first impressions. I arrived at the Chandler (one block away from the bus station so a good start) to find that for some reason the third party booking company I had used had cancelled my reservation. The staff were fantastic. They checked me in with a calming drink while we waited to get a resolution where as they could have quite easily kicked me out - Alison

We stayed here for three nights in October and the concierge here is the best I have ever encountered. They did everything from arranging for our rental car to suggesting places to sightsee and eat. The hotel itself is very nice, rooms are smallish but very comfortable. The beds were excellent. Great location! Next time I am in Boston, I am definitely staying here! Make sure you check out BOND as well; very unique cocktails and decor. - Valentina

I visited this hotel in August 2009 with my husband and we had a fantastic experience. The room was huge, with a separate seating area and breathtaking views of the city, and though the bathroom was a bit small, the shower was excellent, so no complaints at all. Unbeatable location for shopping and sightseeing and good breakfast although a bit pricey (but then again, we don't eat much in the mornings). We arrived at the hotel at check in time (3PM) and was greeted at the door by the bell man. He was very polite and helped us with our bags to our room. Our room was great.. We had 2 rooms side by side.. The beds were to die for, nothing but comfortable.. We had room service in the morning, which was great, nothing beats waking up to coffee, muffins, danishes, and crossiants by your bed.. I have stayed at many hotels, but The Hilton Back Bay is by far the best hotel. Location is great clos - Geoff

This hotel was great from the staff right through to the location. We will definitely be staying here again as soon as we make it back to Boston. The location was amazing; walking distance to many different sights, restaurants and points of interest. - Kevin

I got this hotel for $132/night on Hotwire. So, for that price, I was very satisfied with my stay. If I had paid what the hotel's site was quoting, I'd have felt I got a bad deal. You can't beat this location. It was a 15 minute walk to Fenway...go Sox!!! It was a 20 minute walk to begin the Freedom Tour. Or, you can walk to the inbound T station just the other side of the library across the street to the Park stop and get off there. There is a Shaws within walking distance. The duck tours ar - A

Everyone at the hotel was pleasant and helpful. The location is great and close to great places to eat and shop. The free breakfast was very good and was in a nice setting. The room was average but there were no problems and nothing at all to complain about. We are going back next month for another stay because we need to be back in the area. - Keith

I really enjoyed the Boston area which I visited recently on Business. The Hotel was very clean and room large with excellent decor, included continental breakfast was a plus. The free shuttle service to various locations was a true gem in addition they offer a very discounted airport shuttle ($8). - Andrew

Just two nights at a conference with very little time at the hotel, but it was OK. Rooms very small (you can’t open the bathroom and closet doors at the same time). Reasonably quiet for a city hotel. Comfy bed. Not enough towels when we checked in; they fixed that immediately. Wireless worked reasonably well. Purified water dispenser is nice. Staff were polite and responsive. - Michelle
