At first, i thought a two star hotel like this would be terrible. But since it was Holiday Inn Express, i went with it. And i was IMPRESSED. The lobby was beautiful and looked newly remodeled. I felt that it was definitely at three or four star hotel. The breakfast room was also great, with EVEN BETTER food. The service was excellent, they provided us with everything we asked...and we did ask a lot (toothbrush, toothpaste, internet issues/wireless card, comb). The hallways had a SMALL smell, sor - Paul

The Islander Inn was the perfect choice for our family trip to Disneyland. We selected this property because of positive customer reviews, reasonable rates, and proximity to Disneyland. We were not disappointed: our suite was large enough to accomodate 3 adults and 2 teens with the 2 queens and sofa sleeper, it was very clean and well-maintained, the cost was incredibly affordable, and it actually is within a 15-minute walk of the front gate. We had a great stay, the breakfast was more than enough to get the day started which was unexpected after reading some of the feedback. We stayed in a Premium room and I must say certainly worth the couple of dollars extra, it was large, clean and very comfortable. The Pizza place on the Ramada frounds is worth a try, has very yummy Pizza and the coffee shop makes a great coffee and very good nacho's. We highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for an inexpensive, basic motel room. The room is no frills, but comfortable. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the room. The fact there was a continental breakfast included was a real bonus. There is not a huge selection at breakfast, but we were pleased with the selection each day. I have stayed at several places in the area and this stay was only to catch up with step daughter and two teenaged grandsons. Two large double beds unable to be split into singles was a frustration, but we knew that and there wasn't really enough space for a rollaway bed. Good to have a fridge and even a microwave and coffee facilities in what I would consider an adequate to budget room. (Not often you get a microwave unless there are full kitchen facilities.) we stayed at this hotel for 9 nights and have had a great experience. we live in hawaii and have stayed at a few hotels here, and haven't had as great an experience as some of the waikiki 4 star hotels. we checked in at about 1130 pm, and were given a room on the backside of the hotel, which we LOVED!!! still a short walk from the parking, and less foot traffic. no headlights shining into our room as cars parked, no noise from late nighters, and safer for my kids. it may be a layout plan - Mark

After more than two years of research into our once in a lifetime family trip to Disneyland, we chose to stay at the Camelot Inn and Suites. With three young teenagers, the demands on the accomodation is significant. We stayed at the Camelot for 11 nights and were "blown away" by the quality, convenience, staff, breakfast and location of the establishment. Once again we slept well at the Sheraton Park Hotel. Very comfortable beds and very quiet. (This from a very picky person) It's nice to have a sliding door that you can leave open all night instead of a window. A room with a balcony and a view of the parks is the best by far. But even the ground level floors offer a patio to sit outside of your room. We have stayed on the 11th floor and the first floor - both great. The pool is large with a bar.
