I like this place much better than the Annabella, which we stayed at over our honeymoon, and it's about the same distance from the park, just on the opposite side of the property. The ambiance is like a nightclub and very hip. When we checked in, the staff gave us a complimentary menu item coupon that we could redeem at either the poolside lounge or at the hotel's restaurant. We loved the fireworks at night we could see from our bedroom by the pool, the happy hour, the young hip yet family atmosphere. Great customer service- staff was awesome from bartenders, maintenance, waitresses, dining room to front desk! Love the buffet (a little pricey) and the music was great all around the place. we chose this hotel for the close proximity to Disneyland which was a fifteen minute walk away. It was also right on top of a noisy freeway but this didn't really disturb us once the bedroom door was closed and we were aware of it before booking. The restaurant in the hotel was very very good and the food was delicious so we ate there on both nights. Service was always attentive and personable. We ordered room service very close to service closing time, and they were more than happy to facilitate our request. Great proximity to Disneyland. There needs to be a drain in the bathroom because the floor wets easily and just gets too messy. Not crazy that we had to pay to park. Loud music playing inside the hotel and around the pool was very intrusive rather than just in the background. Somewhat run-down, could use some updating and freshening up (assume most hotels near Disneyland are similar!) I suggest trimming the dead, brown leaves from the palm trees on the grounds just to freshen the look. Very noise due to I-5 traffic --so why not turn down the music in the public areas?? Too much noise overload!! Also, we could not order ala carte breakfast items; only the $13+ breakfast buffet--even though they were available thru room service with a hefty upcharge. Menu is a bit narrow for my tastes but the small bite plates are a terrific value and the kids loved those too. The constant loud music in lobby and at the pool area. There is not enough chairs by the pool. the inernet connections were awful. the lady cleaning our room NEVER had facecloths/washcloths the food from the restaraunt wasn't very "child" approved ( could have had a few menu items for the people who like blander items. Parking 10 dollars a night it adds up what you pay for the room you would think it was included. Kitchen closes to early. Outside pool towels like a bar towel they need to make them bigger and thicker. No bathroom exhaust fan. Everything else was great!. charge for parking and shuttle, no breakfast, no refrigerator, no microwave and freeway noise. Ice machines didn't work. paying for parking, no complimentary breakfast. Noise from freeway. The hotel authorized $150 in addition to the amount that was owed. We didn't know this and didn't plan for it ahead of time so it was a little stressful. We had to move money around to compensate for this. Also, breakfast for 2 was $27...never spent that much for breakfast before. All good. a little far away to disney land. I have a 1 year old baby and she drinks milk and we didn't have a fridge to put the milk, and also there's not microwave I did not like that. Ice machine far away. The front desk staff were rude and had no sense of urgency when dealing with a line of people checking in; If anything, the valet staff should be promoted to the front desk; The beds were uncomfortable; The rooms need more than one mirror. The jacuzzi was filled with young children even in the late evening hrs. noise from pool area (we were in room 525), amenities like soap and shampoo, etc seemed like low quality. Front desk overly sold us on the fact that the conduit running through the room was for decoration only. I bought a wire tester at Home Depot around the corner and tested it. They were "live" wires. Don't lie to me just tell me like it is. Also you can't get a cup of coffee in the morning (unless you want to pay $3) and a 1 cup brew of crap coffee in the room just doesn't cut it for 2 adults. Noisy lobby Dark rooms Extremely uncomfortable pullout. Noise from freeway Open/outdoor corridors. The room was in terrible shape. Bathtub was painted & chipping everywhere. Shower would turn completely off for no reason in the middle of showering! Beds were rock hard. You could hear the freeway and music blasting from the pool area at all hours. Pool area was very dirty. Cigarettes, trash & hot tub needed cleaning. The housekeepers are out right at 7:00am and are extremely loud! They woke us up every morning with their loud voices and loudly talking spanish to each other.The walls are too thin and you can hear everything. The hotel is located right on the corner of 2 busy streets and right next to the 5 freeway so it is very,very loud! The wifi did not work!. Was promised adjoining rooms - didn't get. Bathroom was not clean bed was hard .expensive not price we saw online.
