New York Hotels

The Mave is a lovely hotel in a great location right up from Madison Square Garden (the park, not the sports arena). The staff, from concierge to housekeeping, were among the friendliest and helpful I have ever come across. The rooms are very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel, as mentioned in other reviews, just opened in the summer and therefore some issues still need ironing out. Again as previously mentioned, there is a fair amount of noise that bleeds into the rooms thro - David

"Old World Charm." Large spacious rooms with 2 to 3 closets. Flat screen TV. Romantic, Safe and Clean!! The HELMSLEY MIDDLETOWNE'S 5 star staff was the friendliest experience ever!! You cannot beat the price or luxury of this rare gem in NYC. - Jerilee

We visit NYC a few times a year to see our son, and this is the only hotel we've chosen to stay in more than once. It's attractive, with clean, spacious, well-equipped rooms at a price that's reasonable for New York. We particularly appreciate the bathrooms because they have ample counter space to set out toiletries. Our bath this time even had shelves next to the sink . And the hotel is centrally located only a block from the 28th St. 4,5,6 subway stop, so it's easy to get around the city from - Michael

I loved the dream hotel but it wasn't a cozy type of hotel, it was more like a modren hi-tech sorta thing. - David

As 2 single girls travelling to New York for the first time The Time Hotel is an ideal location as literally on Times Square. The room was comfortable with air con/heating, TV and safe, only down was the wardrobe is basically a rail behine the door so for 2 girls storage was a bit tight. Rooms are cleaned everyday with clean towels, robes and sheets. The concierge and door staff were extremely friendly and helpful in pointing us in the right direction. My husband and I stayed at the Night Hotel for one night when we went to the NY theater. The hotel was fantastic -- loaded with character and very convenient. The front desk staff were extremely helpful, the rooms were dramatic -- black and white and shiny -- and the location was perfect. There's a bar with live music, which was a pleasant surprise. Our room had no view -- just an airshaft -- but that hardly matters in NYC. We also got a terrific price on priceline. - Imran

Check on was smooth but the room was not ready until 4 pm. The manager, Ilona, was extremely helpful. On the advice of people on this board we had paid for an upgrade to a king executive: DON'T !! They all face Lincoln Centre where there is construction going on - all night!! NYC is the city that never sleeps! We could not sleep at all and the next morning we downgraded to a King superior for a$30 surcharge. The room was slightly smaller but quiet and just as nice. I am a very picky custome - Simon

We were very impressed with the hotel, and the staff. Everyone was helpful and very friendly. We had great service from the concierge. Our room was very spacious compared to most NYC hotel rooms and a very comfortable king sized bed. The only issue we had was a toilet that plugged on our 2nd night but upon allerting the front desk this was taken care of immediately. One can't beat the location! We would definitely "stay at Stay" again. - Georgina
