New York Hotels

I was worried about this hotel, thining it might not be perfgect...well I worried not! This hotel was absolutely perfect and I would recommend it to anyone. It was clean, beautiful and the room was outstanding! We were upgraded to a king room (1633) just because they liked us, and it was a beautiful room, not a great view but hey we were not there to look at the view. When we went to New York for my 30th birthday I wanted to stay somewhere nice. I got a room at the Tribeca for $230 a night. Which I later found was the best deal I could have ever gotten. The staff there was super nice they had someone open the doors as you enter and exit the place. I hear you could also get a gold fish in your room (at no charge) if you ask for one. We got to the hotel at 6 am and the check in time is usually 3 pm. They let us check in and they even wished me a happy birthday. - Terence

You can't blame the staff for the condition of the hotel. The place is owned and operated by a company that does not know how to run a hotel, they were only interested in the property that it sits on. I agree the place needs to be cleaned up but when most of the money that you earn is taken from you and only the bare minimum is given to keep the place operational, what do you expect? This hotel was a grand old girl back in her day and has the potential to be on of the most spectacular plac - Mrs

The crowne plaza was a great choice. The location, food and staff were excellent. I'll be planning another trip to New York and will definately stay there again - Mark

Stayed two nights at the Dylan Hotel in October 2009. One block from Grand Central Station and a 10 minute walk to Times Square and the theatre district. The room was average in size for NY standards. The truffles and a nice bottle of water greated me in the room. I was impressed with the front desk staff. I needed to print a form from a memory stick and the front desk staff was happy to help. They even faxed it at no charge. Bought a half price ticket in Times Square to a new musical call - Terence

We stayed in this hotel in June 2009. We arrived late at night at got the room from the highest floor. We were really tired but we couldn't sleep beacuse of the ventilator on the roof - awful noise!!! Next morning, very tired, I went to reception asking a new room. The staff was very polite and promised to arrange us a new room by the end of the evening. Our luggage was moved in the evening. :) The staff in all was very helpful in every way and the hotel is clean. The location is not the gre - Malcolm

Recently stayed at Park South Sept 14-17, 2009. Checked out hotels on line and found this to be best fit for us. Great location, very accomodating staff. Booked Superior Queen and although smaller room than normally would have on vacation to southern resort on par with NYC rooms. Very clean, very comfortable bed, all amenities you would want in hotel room. Breakfast was much better than a continental breakfast and plenty of options. We banked on the reviews here and stayed 2 nights while seeing shows in NYC. The review were right. This is somewhat of a hidden gem. The value ($169.99) was very good. The locaiton is fantastic - within 1-2 blocks of most theaters, short walk to Times Square, and 1 "long block" to 9th Avenue where there are tons of restaurants (and more on 8th Avenue too).
