New York Hotels

This hotel was so much better than I expected! Clean, quiet (that's rare for NY, especially Times Sq), friendly staff, comfortable bed. We will definitely be back to this cute little hotel. Thank you for a great weekend in NY, Comfort Inn! - Sheila

Stayed two nights at the Dylan Hotel in October 2009. One block from Grand Central Station and a 10 minute walk to Times Square and the theatre district. The room was average in size for NY standards. The truffles and a nice bottle of water greated me in the room. I was impressed with the front desk staff. I needed to print a form from a memory stick and the front desk staff was happy to help. They even faxed it at no charge. Bought a half price ticket in Times Square to a new musical call - Terence

We were very impressed with the hotel, and the staff. Everyone was helpful and very friendly. We had great service from the concierge. Our room was very spacious compared to most NYC hotel rooms and a very comfortable king sized bed. The only issue we had was a toilet that plugged on our 2nd night but upon allerting the front desk this was taken care of immediately. One can't beat the location! We would definitely "stay at Stay" again. - Georgina

Having travelled from South Africa and having had to book on-line (and we all know what's posted on the net is not always the same in reality!!) I need to let any other future travellers to New York know...I found a gem!!! This hotel is just a few blocks from Time Square, really well priced and includes a good complimentary breakfast that gives you a great start to the day. The room is a good size for New York, modern and spotless, with a marble bathroom including a bath and shower. With - Hannah

I stay at either the Soho Grand or Tribeca Grand on almost every visit to New York. I must have stayed over 80 nights in the past 2 years. I have read some of the negative reviews. Yes, Its not faultless, but its a great place to stay, the staff are great, the food and bar great and its far less expensive than most of the luxury hotels in NYC. - Gordon

We have stayed at the AKA several times over the last few years, and though it was always great, it keeps getting better. We like the large and stylish one bedroom apartments, perfect for staying with our 5 year old because of their size and the presence of a kitchen. The free continental breakfast is wonderful (fresh pastries, yogurt and granola, espresso / coffee, etc), the free laundry and exercise rooms are great, and the staff are always helpful. Expensive but worth it. - Calum

We stayed here for a week and LOVED it! The upper west side is a charming neighborhood with tons of restaurants and shops. The subway way only two block away, Riverside Park and the Hudson River was only a couple blocks, and Central Parks was about 4 blocks. The front desk and housekeeping staff were all very friendly and helpful. I can't say enough about the staff. The hotel itself is in a very charming historic building and the rooms are more like urban apt's than hotel rooms. Wi-Fi reception - Margaret

This is a GREAT place to stay. We stayed in a penthouse suite on the 12th floor.It was very spacious, and included a separate den/office. Very comfortable bed with nice linens and a variety of pillows. As others have said, there is a full kitchen with a table and dishes for 6.I did not hear any street noise at all.Loved the hardwood floors.The bathroom was on the s,mall side for such a large suite, but was adequate. Travelled for a long awaited weekend break to NY with my husband. We flew into Newark Airport and got the express but to Bryant Square which was only very short walk to the Hotel. Staff were very friendly on arrival and stored our bags until we could check in. Room was lovely, very clean and the bed was exceptionally comfy. The wardrobe/mini bar/safe/dvd player were in a small closet in the wall but provided us with ample space for our stuff. We had a lovely sofa/table and some chairs and dra - Patricia

We stayed in this hotel in June 2009. We arrived late at night at got the room from the highest floor. We were really tired but we couldn't sleep beacuse of the ventilator on the roof - awful noise!!! Next morning, very tired, I went to reception asking a new room. The staff was very polite and promised to arrange us a new room by the end of the evening. Our luggage was moved in the evening. :) The staff in all was very helpful in every way and the hotel is clean. The location is not the gre - Malcolm
