Los Angeles Hotels

My sister and I stayed 3 nights at The Tower Beverly Hills only last week. On arrival we were a little concerned - we drove down Pico ( a very busy street) and saw the hotel ... the area didn't look at all like Beverley Hills! However, Rodeo Drive, shops and great restaurants are all only a 20 minute walk away - some of the walk through suburban streets with beautiful homes and gardens. We didn't mind the walk at all, and felt very safe walking back to the hotel at night. But people choosing to - Jeffrey

I was on the phone with Jeff several times about the poor reviews. I was promised a pleasant stay because the hotel had been purchased by a new owner. The pict on the web site are as promised, clean and very comfortable beds. Jeff and Paten (?) were VERY helpful in assisting us with the better restaurants, tips on where to ride the underground train to get to Hollywood Walk of Stars and grocery stores. Merrill at the front desk was extremely friendly and went over the top to make our trip fabulous. The two guys that work at the front desk need to be fired or get laid and be happy. Bartender is SUPER. Food was kind of weird and not my taste. Rooms were small, but nice. No privacy at all in the bathroom (glass wall in shower), but if you're traveling alone or with your spouse, it's no biggie. None of the drivers in LA had ever heard of The O Hotel, so be sure and memorize the address. Hotel is i - Eileen

Stayed at The Beverly Laurel for four nights at the end of July. Check in was easy, the room was big and clean and very comfortable (with a sink/microwave/fridge - very handy when you are travelling), the pool was small but great to cool you down in the heat. The hotel is in a really convenient location and the free parking is a bonus - we had breakfast at Swingers Diner one morning and enjoyed it (though the coffee was pretty poor). It's not a five star hotel, but we loved the style of the whol - John-robert

I'm speaking of the Four Points by Sheraton LAX no less. The hotel is run like a very tight ship. Service is paramount as the rooms are well kept. In fact the hotel is now in the middle of a total renovation. The hotel offers 24 hour room service and a state of the art exercise facility as well as an outside swimming pool. The lobby bar boast a beer lounge that feature beers from around the world. My favorite aspect of the property is if you need something and they don't have it they will go - Aron

Despite previous bad reviews ,the most recent a better one after the refurb,I decided to take a chance on this hotel. The hotel was a good price ,after a long flight from London ,check in was fast & efficient & the staff friendly & helpful . Our room was overlooking the pool ,which was clean & warm ,some have not so good a view at the back of the hotel. The room itself was clean & spacious, lovely comfortable beds & plenty of fresh towels every day. There was a spacious d - David

My husband and I plus another couple stayed at the hotel for 6 nights. What a wonderful experience. The staff were a delight. The valet, reception and maid service was all that you could ask for. The restaurant was excellent with terrific food and real value for money. The restaurant staff were without exception wondeful, especially Saul who ensured that all customers were looked after. What a great hotel, not bad location, metro across the street, starbuck s in hotel, juice bar and coffee across the street. Easy to get to airport, $1.55 on metro and easy to get to Santa Monica and swam in the ocean , one city bus for $1.25. Absolutely good value for the rate I paid which was really cheap. Will come again. Loved the pool area and fountain, very relaxing. - Ian

I was really surprised at how nice this motel was considerring how cheap it was compared to many others in LA. The rooms were really nice, clean and quiet. Good size, with cable tv, fridge and walk in wardrobe. The location was good so long as you don't go wondering the streets at night, China Town is pretty dead after dark. The metro station is really close so its got good links to Hollywood, Pasadena etc. Downtown go metro bus stops right outside. All in all I had a great stay, and would defin - Marie

Check in was a breeze. Done in 2 min. Room is as pictured. Bathroom was cramped, not newly remodeled as the room, but it was ok for 1 night. Toiletries were nice and were Bliss products. Service was great and had absolutely no problems. We got to use the business center to print out our boarding passes for Jet Blue the next day. I'd stay there again. It was perfect for a layover for us. - Micheal
