I highly recommend The Donatello. The staff was cheerful and attentive. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The added bonus of having a smoking room where we could leave the window open without giving up our privacy was a major convenience. The kitchen extras; microwave, refrigerator, plates, etc., allowed for flexibility with our differing breakfast and snack schedules. everything! staff is very helpful, pleasant and efficient. rooms are very comfortable, nicely decorated and above all very practically designed: you find everything you need where it should be. location is superb. one of the best hotels i stayed in in a big city. in the meantime i stayed twice in this hotel.all reviews »
We liked everything about your hotel. We had a clean, comfortable room. The hotel is very close to all of San Francisco's public transit. Your staff is very friendly and very, very helpful. We had a wonderful first trip to San Francisco and your hotel played a large part in making it so enjoyable. The location of the hotel is excellent, our rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Also the staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly, always with a smile! My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay there and we would certainly return to this hotel again.everything my grandaughter and I were visiting California for the first time and we found the location of the hotel was great for seeing San Francisco, we liked what you offered on your website and were no disappointed in any way on arrival. Bed was very comfortable. The room was huge and immaculately clean. The staff was extremely helpful and the early check-in on arrival was very much appreciated. It's location is superb, too. We stayed 3 nights and for 2 days and nights a burglar alarm just down the road was going every couple of minutes. Amazingly no one bothered to turn it off. Ear plugs were very necessary for those two nights:). it was a little noisey on the street side.Breakfast area needs to be improved with more tables. When we asked the concierge for tickets to Alcatraz, we were told we couldn't have tickets for the next week as they were fully booked. we went to pier 33 ourselves and got tickets for the next day!. Building construction somewhat nosiy during the day. breakfast. I wad disappointed that the spa was not yet in place although advertised. better selection for breakfast, longer spa hours. I can't think of anything. I thought the price was very reasonable for the location, service and in comparison to the other hotels that I checked out. The breakfast could have more options...The neighborhood of the hotel was not the best. But it wasn't that bad either...The free breakfast is almost nothing. They serve coffee and cereals free, but they charge $4 for one orange juice and two pastries or muffins. Their complimentary breakfast is just coffee. Only coffee and cereals!. Nothing i didn't like about the hotel, but a swimming pool would be nice!. Although breakfast is free, it is in a crowded room. no mini bar in room.The breakfast is incredible bad. No room to everybody and no variations of food. Breakfast was on the meager side.
