This hotel is very good located in San Francisco. You will have a lot of public transportation available and you will be able to walk to a lot of cool places in the city. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, they have a good tv, good bed and good bathroom for the price. I would definetly stay here again. They also have a space to storage your bags after you check out at 11 am, you can came back later to get your lugage - for free! People living for a long term there did not bother me at all. W.
all reviews » The Hotel is a bit dated but very clean, I stayed in deluxe king room, paid close to 70 bucks a night, I must say I'm very impress. the room is quiet large with hardwood floor, bed is comfy, place is clean, the building is old but well maintain. Location is good, next door honey honey restaurant serve good food, bus right out the door step. I stayed at Post Hotel for 3 days in a room with shared bathroom. The hotel is very central (few minutes walking to Union Square) and it was great value for the money. Toilet and shower were always clean. Staff was friendly and helpful - they helped me changing my booking dates and organized an airport shuttle for me. Free wifi. Older hotel with character. Updated with modern amenities.Great Location in Downtown. Close to transit(incl. cable car), shops, dining and attractions. Modest size room but comfortable. Free in room Wifi was great asset. The location is close to Union Square, but the neighborhood is a little sketchy. The staff was helpful, but only one spoke decent English. Well is in the middle of the city so on the weekend can be quiet noisy but didn't bother me and toilet doesn't flush good enough so we have to flush many times in order to get it fully clean!. Close to Tenderloin District. I would be cautious at night in that area. Downtown-a bit noisy at night. No real complaints. This is value for money accommodation. It was a bit hot in the room...no way to control the temperature...but opened the windows:). Couldn't have guests past a certain time. While I understand why, it was still troublesome since we met some of our friends who were staying at another place for the weekend. Couldn't get TV to work (but I didn't try hard or ask for help); room was small but fine for the price. It was very noisy at night!! Try and get a room that's not directly about the street/bar across the way. More like a single mens hostel than a hotel...I would much preferred in room bathroom. A little bit of noise. Nothing. Corridors and lobby. Close by Parking lots was too expensive. I paid 40$ and 35$ for overnight parking. The door key would not operate and I had to get reception to open the door on 3 occasions. There was a sink in the bedroom, (as it was shared bathrooms) and only hot water came out. Awfall smell in hall/outside the rooms and carpet not looking so great anymore. The drainage system tends to clog. Elevator out of order, stairs and hallways to narrow. Not like to stay again. Smelly hotel. Small rooms. Bit old. The floors are all noisy and I found it hard to sleep every night almost. The room was also quite small. wifi was nice. I was not feeling well and checked out at PM instead of 11AM. The hotel manager started a fight with me. No a/c in the hotel. Our room was about 80 degrees, with the fan and window open, even with the outside air at night around 60 degrees. The hallways were cooler than our room, and there's no windows there. Since we had to have the window open, the sirens and outside noise was impossible to sleep thru. Ended up getting around 2 hours worth of sleep, and had to sleep with our feet out the window to stay cool. We only stayed one night out of 5 due to this issue. We had a really bad experience with one staff member in particular - we would never go back there. It felt kind of seedy as well - some places have a good vibe but this one didn't. The front desk staff were more than rude . The gentleman could not have been more rude....save your time & money for a hotel that isn't going to treat you like a bum. 1. The person at the front desk was the rudest creature ive ever met (wont refer to him.as human) 2. no facilities what so ever. the only facility available was a vending machine!. Television did not work after repeated tries by the front desk. We were offered a 10 % discount for this inconvenience but received nothing at check out but the attendant assured us we would be compensated. We returned to the hotel one hour afterward and recieved the same response. We received nothing in the form of a compensation. The names of the people at the front desk and the mysterious person o0n the phone were Mehla, Al and Jack. Too old. Smells bad. No temperature control (too hot). Weird guests (looks like permanent visitors staying at the hotel).
