Staff was very helpful and friendly. The usual large chains were booked so I stayed here by myself and was pleasantly surprised. This is a small boutique hotel, so if you need a cozy but clean place to stay in a great location, I would recommend this place. The continental breakfast, wine reception, and ice water/coffee bar in the lobby are all nice touches that elevate this a bit above other bargain hotels in the area.

Easy to access from BART and close to everything. No armies of homeless people nearby. The italian restaurant and daily complimentary glass of wine was made the whole impression much better. Andrews hotel has an intimate atmosphere that's welcoming. Great position, close to union square and Powell. Most quote breakfast as uncomfortable to be brought to your room... but i found it great, fresh fruit, pastries and homemade jam every day! The rooms were too small though we just were at the property to sleep and leave next morning to tour but still it was not comfortable. It was over priced for the summer also it is better to spend some extra dollars and take other property nearby at least the comfort would be more. The shower was maybe 3X3, about what you would expect in a weekend sized RV. I had to open the curtain to bend over and wash my lower legs, which was the most irritating. Smallest bathroom i've ever seen. TV screen could be bigger. An expensive parking (even for hotel guests). Sound from outside travels very well through poorly insulated windows. Although a continental breakfast was supplied, it was very basic and had to be eaten in the room due to the lack of a dining room. The elevator can be a bit grumpy but it kind of adds to the charm. I had a great time. Should have advertised free continental breakfast, instead of free breakfast. letsbookhotel.com should not have allowed us to book here with 2 children. The maximum occupancy of the room turned out to be three. We paid an extra $15/nt for a rollout bed for one child and the other slept any which way. We managed. I would have liked a plain India tea, (eg. English Breakfast) available for breakfast. It was the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in. There was shouting at all times of the night, (admittedly from outside the hotel) and fire crackers one night at 2am so I don't think I had a good nights sleep the whole time. A little space. The bathroom. Nothing. Just remember you pay for what you get as it is no Hilton. Also you really should only be in your room to sleep so it is comfortable for that and then you should be out exploring. No Air Conditioning. size of bathroom. Valet price too expensive. I paid $358.44 for one night in a standard room! I asked for a larger room to accomodate two friends who stopped by before dinner, but was told they were sold out. Half an hour later a couple walked in off the street and got a room!.
