  Hotel was like an Oasis off the busy Lombard St. Get a courtyard facing room and its very quiet. We initially had a street facing room which was loud but not unbearable, especially later on in the evening. Staff at the hotel did offer us earplugs if we needed them. Rooms are very clean and some have kitchens. Parking is free which is very handy as... what people say » Lombard St is so busy. Chestnut St is immediately north of Lombard St with plenty of bars and nice restaurants. Safe place to be and the number 30 bu - The entire property is lovely and maintained well. The room was pristine and charming. I wish we had been off the street in the courtyard, but that is something we will do next time we come into town. The parking was a huge bonus and the proximity to the bus line made it possible to just leave the car parked the entire time we were in the city! What a jewel! P.S. when I forgot my prescriptions at home, the front desk person helped me get them replaced there in the city, and even looked up the p

  There is no negative thing i would mention. The room was new and clean. Breakfest ok. Really good position of the hotel is just perfect (about 10min to the Town Hall)! The park place is small but all the guests found a place while we were there. And finally yes, there are some homeless people arround the hotel, but we didn´t feel uncomfortable or... what people say » unsafety at all. We would recommend this hotel mainly for young people and travellers. - Close to our destination - walking distance. The staff was very helpful. Gave us walking instructions to our intended destination. Also pointed out alternate transportation solutions and approximate costs.

  Everything was excellent! I have stayed in hotels price much higher that were no where near as nice as this one! It wasn't a luxury hotel of course, but as a home base for a city trip I couldn't ask for more. This is a funky old art deco style motor hotel that is maintained to accommodate budget travelers-don't expect valet parking, or luxury amenities, but do enjoy the no frills quick check in, working ice/pop machines, in room coffee, and cable tv. And they have smoking rooms if you are so inclined.

  The staff was wonderful. The parking was ok. tight spaces. Our car got a good size scratch from the car that parked next to us. Since is it on Lombard street we were happy that they had onsite parking, instead of having to park on the busy street.   It's a delightful, charming little inn, centrally located and a good bargain. The location was very near Fisherman's Wharf. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Parking facility was excellent and secure. - The room was super clean, oversized and the tub drained!! :) Parking was limited but free! The free coffee was better than Starbucks!
