It's not a hotel in conventional way. I like the ambience and all the elegant deco with a home style. Quite and lots of privacy in good location like this is really extrodinary.
Very friendly staff provided good help on the train schedule and wifi in short/late time.
We met the hostress when leaving at the door and she was a nice lady!
Unique experience and strongly recommend to those people interested in culture.

This is a very nice hostel situated in the very city center right between old and morern parts. It's very cozy and clean. The location of Hostal Gala is excellent, a 5 minute walk from Gran Via and Puerto Del Sol. The staff are super welcoming and friendly, always ready to help and advise on where to go and what to do. The hostal is also kept very clean and the cleaning staff are very friendly and helpful as well. Although the rooms do not have safe deposit boxes, security and leaving passports/money behind was never a cause for concern. This is a place I would recommend and stay at again!

I've stayed at many hostels all around Spain by now, about 4 of them in Madrid alone, and this was by far one of THE best service we've ever had. Super clean. The price for the location is unbeatable. The Wifi was great. Outstanding service by attendant who assisted us. At one point I forgot my cell phone on the couch in the little lobby and he picked it up and left in our room with a note. How he knew it was ours, no idea. (Maybe process of elimination.) But so glad he did! Will definitely go
