San Sebastian Hotels

The outside decor of this hotel does nothing for the interior. A large group of us (30 boys aged 12) and 17 adults from Ireland stayed in this hotel for a week from July 4th 2009. Our U12 players were participating in the Soccer Tournament, Donosti Cup 2009. The hotel was perfect for our group, fantastic breakfast every morning before we headed off for our football matches. The pool was great for the lads to wind down every evening. The rooms were spacious, airy and spotless, cleaned daily. Staf - Bryn

If you want only 1 room for 2 adults and 2 small kids, just call the hotel and they will accomodate you. I got a deluxe room and paid additional for a small twin bed sized cot on a nightly basis. Wont find this anywhere on line. Rooms are huge, although the furniture is a bit worn and dated for a 5 star hotel. The fabric was stained and torn on the 2 sitting chairs in our room. Don't be put off by the exterior of this hotel -a tower block with an Ok reception area. The location is the best there could be in this lovely resort. We had a very pleasant room with a view of the Playa abd it is two minutes walk to a great cafe on the beach front which had very nice croissants and coffee for breakfast. - Andrew

We went on a tour on the Basque Country, spending 2 nights at NH Aranzazu. We payed 93 euros a night per double room (2 twin beds). Location: The area where the hotel is located is nice and expensive and not noisy at all. There is a supermarket and some bar walking distance. La Concha beach is a 5-10 minute walk. However it is not that close if you want to go to Old Quarter (30 minute walk). However, there is a bus in front of the hotel that drops you there. Service: The service - Giuseppe

stayed at Villa Soro for five nights to celebrate his 50th birthday. From the moment we arrived at the airport and were met by the taxi driver arranged by the hotel, we were very well looked after. The hotel is an elegant, yet homely place with fantastic helpful staff. Check in was efficient. The rooms are clean, spacious and quiet, even though ours was facing the road into San Sebastian and we left our window open at night. We had breakfast in our room and it was more than adequate. You cannot ask for much more, fabulous staff, clean room and the best location in town. Stayed at Pension Alameda for 3 nights and loved every minute of it, on the boulevard in the centre of town, so you can enjoy the best of the old city's restaurants and bars and shopping precinct. - Stewart
