Great place to stay - Jeanette

Never been to a hotel with internal rooms before. The room we had the first night had a tiny frosted internal window, and was very claustrophobic. We switched rooms to one with an equally tiny window but at least this looked outside. When we settled in the new room i realised i had left my sandals in the first room. The staff let us check it but it had been cleaned and the shoes were gone! Nothing further was done about this and the staff just seemed to accept it. - Very disappointing. Would - Daniel

I have been many times to Barcelona both for business and for turistic reasons. This april I was for the first time in this hotel with my family. It was a great experience. Staff is very very very kind and usefull, the hotel is clean, rooms are large althougth they do not have much charme. The hotel is located in an area that is a bit as far away from the medieval part of the city, but if you consider visiting Pedrera, Caca Batillo etc. the hotel it is really at walking distance from these bui - Paul

We had a superb stay at Hotel Axel. It is by far the nicest gay accommodation we've stayed in. All the staff were so friendly and took plenty of time and trouble with us. Good facilities and food; really interesting and smart decor. Some of the bits and bobs (like need a bit of TLC to bring them properly to good condition but this is a minor point. I would recommend this hotel very very much, for couples both straight and gay. We will definitely return. Lovely place! :) - Neil

We stayed for 1 night before our cruise and chose the hotel after reading reviews on LetsBookHotel. The room was really nice at the front of the hotel with a small balcony. We had no problems with noise once the window was closed and it was well worth the extra. We ate at a small tapas place around the corner but came back to sit on the rooftop terrace. It was a lovely evening and a very relaxing place to watch the world go by. The staff were brilliant and could'nt do enough for us. It is in an - Roberto

Had to stay here for 2 nights as the electrics fused in our rented apartment. Went to Tourism Office under Plaza Catalunya and they got it for €70 an night for us. First impressions were definitely 'Wow'! as it was so boutiquey. Friendly receptionist who explained everything to us. Didn't pay for breakfast as there are so many bars that do Desayuno Continentale for about €3.60 just around the corner. The room was nice and big with comfy twin beds. An excellent location: just 1 minute walk from the beach, 5-7 minutes walk from the metro station, nice surroundings. Friendly and responsible staff. All-new household facilities. Good choice for the money paid. - Eleanor M.

I stayed in these apartments for a hen weekend with 4 groups of between 6 and 4 girls in each room. The apartments were very clean, spacious and well equipped. Withing the kitchen there was a cooker, full size fridge freezer and microwave. IThe lounge had a small table and 4 chairs and also a bed seetee. The only one very small downside to these apartments is that there is only one mirror, which is in the bathroom. So I would recommend you take your own. The apartments are on a narrow str - Piottr
