Hotels near Girona-Costa Brava Airport

We've stayed at this hotel because we had to catch an early flight on the Girona Airport and because the hotel offered a FREE shuttle bus starting with 4AM. There's no public transport in the hotel area, so the only way to get there is to call the hotel reception and they will send the shuttle bus to the Girona Airport to pick you up. Same if you want to visit the Girona city - they will bring you to the airport, and from there you'll have to take the city bus (4 eur per person for a retour ca - Tim

One could not notice this hotel when driving to/from Girona Airport; the signage is woeful and the exterior is hardly inspiring. However, this hotel is a 'hidden gem' in it's near airport environment. On arrival at the airport one has to ring the hotel for the shuttle bus. The bus came promptly in the charge of a totally charming 'senior' chauffeur. Our one night stay at this new Salles Hotel, before picking up a car, was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Just returned from Spain, spent 3 nights at Mas Duc - felt like at home! Owners were very friendly and helpful, gave some great advices on surroundings and tips where to go, where better not to. Room was perfetly clean, our kid enjoyed pool outside. quiet, not overcrowded (as all those hotels at the very coast). Great nature around! Definetely would come back. I stayed with a friend sharing a twin room for four nights on a long weekend football tour (as spectators!). This is a very recently opened HIE and all the facilties are clean and new. The staff were helpful, the room was spot on, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast buffet was good - the usual spread in a continental HIE, with cereals, meat, cheese, preserves, fruit juice, yoghurt, croissants, bread, etc. Very handy having a new shopping mall next door with all the usual facilites (Ch - Jim

We were very impressed with the Sidorme. We booked breakfast as well and were quite pleased with this as it's a buffet with several things to choose from. The room is fairly plain, but has everything you need, including a plasma tv on the wall. They keep it clean. The staff were generally helpful & friendly, apart from one moody receptionist. The location isn't central (it's in Salt which is a suburb about 45mins walk from Girona Old Town), but it is right opposite a big shopping centre with - Lucia

This hotel exhibits the usual Melia high professional standards of cleanliness, traditional furnishing, and welcome. The reception staff are warm, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast is excellent, the bedroom comfortable and nicely arranged with enough storage and toiletries and the price is excellent value. It is such a pity that the location is not especially convenient for the sights of Girona. The hotel is next door to an expensive Departmental Store and Supermarket chain so good for those - Mr
