I must say we were very impressed with Hostal Las Fuentes. Everything was better than expected: hotel staff, location, cleanliness of the room, quietness, very good value for money. We'd definitely recommend this Hostal. Great place!. the room was lovely and big and extremely comfortable. We asked for a room away from reception and with a window and we got this! very friendly staff and a fantastice location. Extremely clean with good security.

I didn't appreciate being asked to vacate my room so that it could be cleaned– I was working late most nights and needed the mornings to re-cooperate. And, my headboard was not actually attached to the bed, and so it would bang against the wall everytime I moved in bed. I'm sure the staff wondered why I kept socks on the bedposts. It would be better to not have had a headboard at all. It would have been nice to have a dresser and mirror in the room. Other than the armoir, there was no where to put our clothes. The only mirror was the one in the bathroom. The towels in the bathroom were in poor condition.For some reason I couldn't connect to their wifi. My macbook could connect to their router but for some reason I was never able to get on the net. the did however have really new PCs. The building is not in a very good shape.It was hard to find at first. beds could be more comfortable, but for this price it's fine. Small rooms. very small and narrow rooms. none english speaking reception. Avoid rooms near reception - a lot of nise in the night. Lack of power sockets. I don't use air conditioning usually but even if i had wanted to, there was only one socket to share between that and the tv. There was a lot of noise from other air con. units from the other rooms around my mwindow so a light sleeper may have had some difficulty. Wireless internet did not work. This was disappointing. But, they did have a computer in the lobby that we could use. Also, hot water was sporatic. Off then on, etc.A lot of noise outside (center of Madrid) and inside. the walls are very thin. But, Madrid way. Being near to its door, you can find it hard. Better signage is wished.noise inside the building until late in the night. The interior walls are very thin so you can hear noises people make next door as if they were in your room!. bettter signs within the building so you can find the Hostal easier. The bed was small and not terribly comfortable; I really thought I was paying for a "matrimonio"-sized bed, when I reserved.

For guests with breakfast included in the rate, this is served in Cafetería Viena Capellanes, in Calle Arenal. Breakfast is available Monday to Friday from 07.30 to 12.30, and on Saturday and Sunday from 09.00 to 12.30. Please note that guests smoking inside the property will be fined.
