  Cynchia I believe is the name of the woman who runs the b&b and is so lovely and helpful. Our flight landed late at night and we noticed that it was past the check in time listed at time of booking. I called her and she said no problem at all and said shed meet us at the water bus stop to walk us I the hotel. Thank goodness she did that becaus... what people say » e it is very easy to get lost at night if you are not familiar with the city. to get to the hotel from San zaccaria or realto bridge it's only like a - Lady managers very hospitable and accommodating. Rushed to get room ready as we arrived early and gave us coffee etc while we waited. Gave us map of city and pointed out highlights re eating and main attractions. Room made up daily with nice fresh towels and water provided in fridge. The area situated although difficult to find first time round was really quite good and central to most things and the building itself was historic and nicely decorated inside, the lovely smell in the mainroom and

I came during off season,to visit Venice biennial, for one night I payed just 20 eur. Stayed in 3 bed room,and for both nights I was staying only with one very quiet Japanese girl. Breakfast is simple, but for me was just perfect, coffee, croissant, bread, jam. Definitely coming back again!

  -True Venice experience! The hotel is located on one of the small canals, so finding the hotel was an adventour in itself. Its entrance is located on a small side street and you walk through the ground floor of the building (past the canal boat entrance) to get to the rooms. We made the reservation at the last minute so we didn't have many choices. The room was big. The decor was a little strange. The breakfast was fine. Did I mention the staff is very friendly? We loved the location because it was off the beaten path and we had to actually walk and see other things to get places. If you don't like to walk you can always take a water taxi.
