  A wonderful place to stay Great location, right on the water. A modern hotel built into an historic building. The room was adequate in size and amenities. Parking is close, but it is in the blue spaces so you need to be collecting coins to feed the meter. You don’t pay from midnight to 8:00 and for a few hours mid-day, so it is not expensive or a ... what people say » problem. It is only a few meters from Via Liberta, Via Garibaldi, Via Torrearsa which are the main shopping and dining streets. It is away from the cr - My family and I loved every minute of our stay at the beautifully renovated La Gancia! We stayed with a 4 month old baby and the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and happy! Personal attention and courtesy was given by all the staff: at reception, breakfast bar and evening drinks. Thank you Residence La Gancia, we will recommend you to all our friends.

  The hotel is on the main road and easy to find. Walking distance from Alcantara gorge. Very relaxing place. We had the pool almost exclusively to ourself. We even haf a small bar b q by the pool! The owner got to know that we were celebrating a family occasion and we found a nice small cake for breafast! Thanks to the staff.   The island had been closed for any boats because of weather, so the owner contacted us and proposed to change for the next day. However, it was in November - low season. The rooms with sea view are great (because of the sea view). There is also terrace with swings and chairs. Rooms are big, with small kitchen and old styled furniture. Very cosy. Staff able to book trek to crater for guests, breakfast served at nearby bar with good choice of items. Main reason for visit was the crater trek, but found that there is so much more to do on the island.

  Absolutely loved our stay! Cava Rossa is the best beach I have ever seen! My daughter and I stayed for two nights and wish we stayed longer! The hotel was extremely clean and in a beautifully relaxing setting. The hotel has bikes for rent, and we easily biked to nearby beaches for snorkeling and swimming. Loved the fun and whimsical painting decor as every room has a color theme - It is not a luxury hotel, but everything is set up with excellent taste and character. Personnel was very helpful and friendly and we could enjoy a very confortable and spacious apartment with terrace. The bar has a jacuzy for relaxation and the prices at the bar were very reasonable. Bicicles are available at 5 euro/day

  Although we booked for 2 nights for a hotelroom with seaview we stayed in one of the three cozy and modern Huts, behind the hotelbuilding, situated in a beautiful garden. The Huts are small, but for us it was no problem. We were the only guests and enjoyed the quiet swimming pool with great views on the Etna and the coastal area. They speak very well English and provided us with all the information you need to visit an unkno - Great location at the edge of lovely town Nicolosi, and on the road to Mount Etna (15 minutes to the lift). The owner's couple were friendly and very helpful for our trip to the top of Etna. Tip: leave the hotel at 08:30, so you take the earliest lift to the top and enjoy the morning sun. Later in the day it gets cloudly. There are three clean, modern and spacious rooms in the basement and four wooden cottages in the garden. Nice pool with stunning view and a professional tennis court.
