  We loved Laura and her staff at Musciara Resort. They were professional and extremely attentive while also being warm and very approachable. Breakfasts (and lunch and dinner, if you wish) were delicious and served on the terrace right at seaside. We had travelled to Siracusa partly to make day trips to beaches to the south, but Musciara's beach is... what people say » so clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view out to sea and Ortygia, that we could have spent all our time there and been very happy. Ortygia is a - This was....Paradise! An oasis of rest in the bustling life of Siracusa. Nice and friendly staff. Although only 3stars rated, it is worth a 5 star resort. The only one with a private beach, it was just great to start our trip there. For the boys they even could use a kayak which they enjoyed. Breakfast was amazing when comparing with Italy standards.

  Just perfect ! Lot's of space, TV, nice bath and shower, huge terrace with chairs and table, little kitchen, good break-fast, very friendly at the reception. Just at the end of the main street in Lipari.   Loved the reception, both staff and room. When they gave us a ceramic bottle of water "old style, works by evaporation to keep the water cold", I knew we had landed somewhere "real". This was quite a find, and perhaps 2 kilometers from the ruins at Agrigento.   We had a wonderful stay at Hotel El Jebel. We were traveling with our kids, ages 4 and 6, and the staff could not have been kinder or more attentive. My son declared it "the best hotel he had ever stayed in," and he was not far off.
