The hospitality was great and more - The spectacular views from the Hotel are breathtaking. Easy access to the beach, the quality of the food was excellent. Definately a romantic getaway if you plan on spending your time away from the busy hustle and bustle of the city. The staff were more than friendly. It is truely a hidden little gem.

  The hotel is very good looking and comfortable. Light rooms, big balconies. Owner is one great man, made a marvellous capuccino for me every morning! Location is 2km far from Ercolano city.   I'he met the manager he was very friendly and a very nice person. The staff are excellent. They gave me the feeling as in home. The history of the villa is very interesting. There is a piano in the lobby which belongs to the original owner - a known musician who used to host his artistic friends. Very freindly staff , clean and spacious room and a really good breakfast selection . Great views from the balcony and some very good food options near by .   Valne for money is very very good. - Clean, tidy rooms, bigger than I expected. Ideal if you want no frills or fuss accomodation. Staff were approachable, good humoured and pleasant. Handy location for the trains/metro.

  Wonderful landscape, friendly staff, good food. the best we expected. Open Gate is the place we will choose again for the next visit on Amalfi Coast. - We had a great stay. The family was wonderful. The view from the rooms was excellent. We will come back next year for 2 weeks.

  This is the best place we've stayed in Amalfi. The owner is a spectacular lady - she loaned us a map of the Path of the Gods and recommended plenty of hikes which proved to be no less spectacular than the Path of the Gods. I would take my family back to this Albergo - absolutely loved i - Fantastic location. On the main piazza with a view onto the Duomo. The double glazing meant that most of the noise was cut out and we slept pretty well there. Italian style breakfast, with warm rolls and croissants. They also offered us juice and yoghurt.

  Great hotel in an excellent setting. It has amazing views and is a short walk down to the beach, where there is a great bar. The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming. We had booked an economy double room, but when we got there we were given a double room with a sea view and balcony for the same price.   The hostess was very friendly and hospitable. She provided us with useful hints and advises what to do on the island. The location is relatively quiet and close to the port and the bus stop. The breakfasts are good and the dinner meal was also very tasty.
