  Great location with potential views of the harbor from some rooms. Two rooms on the east side of the 1st floor have access to a large outdoor terrace with two sets of tables and chairs. This was a great place to sit outside during our stay. - We were provided with the central room on 2nd floor with the best views of the promenade and harbour.

  This Hotel own beach club is definatly great thing - city beaches is far and crowd. Also there a indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Staff is professional - almost everybody speaks at few languages. Excelsior have two resto and two bars - they are OK, selections of food and wine is enough for foodies and wine lovers. Rooms is clean and big enough - It was just perfect! A really luxurious hotel with it's own beach which is located on the other side of road and you can get there using a roofed-bridge. The food in Eden Roc restaurant was amazing! Usually when abroad I prefer to eat in different places to try more and to see new places, but here I was ready to have every dinner in Eden Roc:) Staff is extremely helpful and friendly (they have also Russian-speaking personnel as well as Russian chennels). Our room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the garden , but the bathroom was very small.We had aiconditioning which worked well and a fridge in the room . It is a beautiful, traditional Italian home with very Italian furnishings and a charming couple who run the hotel. We loved the sense that we were in their home yet there was a good sense of privacy. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Tania went out of her way to give us great and unique tips on visiting various sights near-by - Thank you - it made all the difference in the world! Highly recommend th - Great location. There is a small beach right in front of the hotel, and 5 min walk to the promenade, shops and restaurants. Although partially obscured by trees, the view of the harbour was lovely from our sea view room. Travel from Genoa airport as well as Chiavari was easy and cheap by train. Staff were helpful in giving directions to places we wanted to visit in the area.
