  The staff were extremely helpful. The location was excellent. We had a 6 year old with us and the walk into Lucca city walls was managable. The bike hire arrangement was great and very resonably priced. The swimming pool was lovely.   This is a lovely hotel made special by attention to detail. Our room ( junior suite) was extremely comfortable and even had tea and coffee making facilities. The owner is very helpful and friendly, and it was great to have use of the free bikes.   We had a fantastic stay at Villa Cheli! Our room had direct access to the front balcony and for two days we felt we had our own private Villa in Italy! In addition to the kind staff, and nice accommodations, we had one of the best dinners of our trip through Italy at Villa Cheli! The location is beautiful, the restaurant food is excellent, and the service is outstanding! We had a minor problem in our bathroom and brought it to the staff's attention in the morning as we were leaving for our day's outing. When we returned everything was taken care of. Absolutely great service and value for your money.
