  Nazionale 51- Stayed in this lovely hotel for 5 nights in September 2013 with my mother. We were a bit confused at first when the taxi pulled up outside because it looked nothing like a hotel, just a big wooden door. The taxi man was very helpful and assured us that this was our hotel and showed us the hotel name (in very small writing) on the b... what people say » uzzer outside, a small plaque on the wall would be helpful. Our hotel was on the 4th floor consisting of 6 rooms, this floor had just been totally re - I felt completely at home and relaxed here. I booked in very last minute and got a great deal. I'm not sure what the full rate is so I can't speak for that, but for what I payed, wow! It is a historical building but newly renovated in a modern/spa like style. The original elevator still exists which I feel adds a lovely contrast to the modern B&B. It was spotless clean and perfectly located. The owner/host was incredibly hospitable and friendly.   We stayed with two kids }5 and 8) only for one-night stop on our way to U.S. but definitely will use it again when we go to Roma for few days to see the city - perfect place in city center, nearby is a small plaza with fountain - authentic feeling of Roma's "genius loci" -walking distance to Colosseum (you can see it from window), DiTrevi fountain... what people say » etc. - simple B&B, clean, enough space, all you really need is there -warm and kind welcome from Roxana (even if we arrived a bit later than exp - I loved everything. You can see the colluseum from the window! The room was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The staff couldn't of helped us more. Carried our bags, helped with maps and booked taxis for us. The breakfast was exceptional and there was always extra sandwiches included for our lunch.

  A chauffeur service from the airport was a welcome additional service. The apartment was opened for us on arrival. This has not been the case at other apartments I have stayed at in Europe. Our host provided a helpful introduction to the apartment and the local neighbourhood. It is in a great location. It is an easy walk to metro stations and the ... what people say » sites of Ancient Rome. A washing machine was a welcome addition after travelling for a couple of weeks. We didn't need a clothes dryer, because the we - friendly welcome service (our plane arrived late, and we arrived at the apartment past midnight - no complaint, no extra charges). We broke a lamp, but it was no problem at all. "Viminale" is an excellent location (also friendly and helpful neighbors - not seedy at all, as somebody wrote). Many sights within a short walking distance (colloseo, foro Romano, etc.). Nearby Metro gets you quickly and cheaply (1.50 euro for age 12 and up) to Vatican city.
