  Nice knowledgeable and friendly staff( Russian, English, Italian), great location( we lived in the same building with Prada and Caffe Greco), nice clean room, cozy Italian bar for breakfast. Note: for a tourist who prefer the anonymity of a big hotel this is not a solution. Roma 55 is a small family business with five - We liked everything about this cosy and home away from home hotel. The location is perfect for shopping and sightseeing - a 1 minute walk to Spanish steps. Lots of cafes and restaurants in the area, a food store is 5 min walk. The owning couple of the hotel (Natalya and her husband) were extremely friendly, helpful, knowledgebable and also nice partners in conversation.I was met by Natalya- a very friendly lady who gave an informative introduction to the city of Rome.   Perfect location - quiet (especially for Rome), however very easy to get to and to reach any tourist attraction by Metro in minutes, nice neighborhood with shopping facilities, restaurants in a 5 minutes walk etc.. Specially the staff! They were extremely kind and sweet. They made us feel like at home. María prepared every morning our breakfast and she did it excellent, also her company was great. We do miss her now. The location is also very good, with a metro station very close and perfect for sightseeing. - I was impressed!! The owner and staff were so friendly and helpful with our travels! The rooms were spacious and extremely comfortable, clean accommodations. Great breakfast. The location was convenient to the sites! So happy we stayed here...highly recommend. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip!!

  We were luckily enough to be given a "suite" room at a "sweet" cost! The location is superb, the coffee shops and gelatari near by are awesome. Strolling from the hotel to the Vatican or across to the river is perfect. Thanks! - We knew what to expect as we have stayed at the Cicerone before. Concierge were so helpfull. Situated in a smart area that is quiet and convenient for buses. Location ideal for pleasant evening strolls. Many fine restaurants close by. Nice to start the day with a very good breakast with very varied choice to suit all requirements and tastes. Overall just excellant value.

  Our stay was very pleasant. Service is very good, the hotel is ideally located (everything is at walking distance), the room in courtyard is very quiet and the service unflawed. Given the special promotion we obtained, this hotel was fantastic. Still at a normal rate, this hotel should be warmly recommended (in comparison to many others in Roma whi... what people say » ch are by far more expensive but far older and less sympathic). - This was our first stay at the Diplomatic - we arrived at Ciampino Airport at 8.20pm and used the Cottrall bus to take us the Aanagnina metro stantion. From the station at Lepante we walked 15 mins to our Hotel.We found our room very clean and comfortable and the staff very helpful. The breakfast room was very pleasant as were the staff and we enjoyed the food available. Service was excellent.
