  Marco met us with the keys when we arrived. He was very personable, wonderful with information and more then accommodating with many suggestions on where to eat, what to see and even helped us with travel details for our departure. The apartment was very large and spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very quiet. There ... what people say » were three other rooms in the apartment with a shared bathroom. All of them were full,yet we never saw anyone else during our stay. The kitchen is set - Raffaella greeted us on arrival and was very friendly. She had also made contact before by text to find out when we were arriving. The room and the apartment are spacious, light, airy and clean. It was easy to find, just off the main square, which is about 15 mins walk from the bus station. The stairs are not a problem for us but other reviews complain of lack of lift so be aware of this if you are elderly, infirm or lazy.   Franco and Daniela are great host. They were so kind to give me advice on restaurants and places to visit. There is a lot to see about history and nature around Trieste. - most of all I liked atmosphere of the hotel. The location also was very good. It was in the center of the city, also stuff was good. Then,when we arrived,the warm welcome from the owner,who was waiting for us for 2 hour (due some traffic problems) ,and his attention for all details,from the parking place for our car just in front,to help with luggage to the second floor,city map and restaurant and city sights recommendation,... what people say » all was perfect. Very nice structure,an old house,from 1860,well designed,with all you need for a short or long stay,5 minute(on the stairs) from the - Unique - wonderful surprize to open the door at the top of 4 flights of stairs of a very old building to lovely rooms with antique furniture , breakfast in a sunfilled room with antique dishes and the most courteous host, David. Highly recommended as long as you are able to climb a lot of stairs.
