First,location and value for the money were the best. Then,when we arrived,the warm welcome from the owner,who was waiting for us for 2 hour (due some traffic problems) ,and his attention for all details,from the parking place for our car just in front,to help with luggage to the second floor,city map and restaurant and city sights recommendation,all was perfect. Very nice structure,an old house,from 1860,well designed,with all you need for a short or long stay,5 minute(on the stairs) from the .
all reviews » Unique - wonderful surprize to open the door at the top of 4 flights of stairs of a very old building to lovely rooms with antique furniture , breakfast in a sunfilled room with antique dishes and the most courteous host, David. Highly recommended as long as you are able to climb a lot of stairs. Our host was extremely nice, prepared a baby cot with toys for our baby, and bought childrens yoghurt for breakfast for our 4 year old. He helped us to park our car below our window, where parking was free of charge. He made a welcoming coffee when we arrived. Lovely, clean room with great air conditioning, fitting furniture and well equipped bathroom. The breakfast was also great - served at any time we wished. Great location for the centre of Trieste with parking outside the hotel. Great location, friendly owner, he helped us find parking space. Room was pretty and clean, and our child was delighted with Winnie Poo toys the owner put in the crib. The room, the bed, the air con, the breakfast, Davide's courtesy and his excellent recommendations for aperitivi and dinner, the communal fridge for cold drinks. Perfect. Very nice host. Feel like home. Indicated a very good restaurant. Difficult to park the car, but the owner moved is car so we took is place. Everything was perfect: location, breakfast, coffie,... Davide was great, he saved a free parking place for us!. Very close to the center of town. The room was very clean and very comfotable bed. Breakfast was good also. Highly recommended. a little gem in Triest, centrally located, cosy little pension with a rich breakfast. Friendly people, good breakfast, clean and modern room, central position. Simply perfect !. There was nothing we didn't like. The street was hard to find by car, because we had brought a broken GPS with us. A simple map is not enough, because that part of Trieste is full of one way streets. Traffic noise on the street. Yes is a third floor. But Davide gave us a hand.....is not a problem at all. Niente!. On the 3rd floor and no lift. Only complaint. It is on the third floor (as noted in it's info) which means there are six stone flights of stairs to negotiate, Davide is great and insists he takes your cases, but since there is no lift, if you have restricted walking or in a wheelchair you would not easily get to it. Third floor without elevator, but the host was very kind in taking up the luggage.
