  For my wife and I, it all has to do with the staff and this hotel can boast of having very helpful and friendly staff. The owners are present and they participate in the day to day activities of running this very charming hotel. The rooms are somewhat unique as the rooms are all so different. The location is a ten. The breakfast server was ever so nice and pleasant. - This is a lovely hotel in the historic centre of Florence. It is only a five minute trundle - with suitcase - from the main railway station. The staff were very polite and helpful. There was plenty of choice when it came to breakfast time. I had a nice, clean room overlooking the bustling piazza and the Medici chapels. The (double) double-glazed windows shut out any traffic noise overnight. I would definitely recommend it.

  We had a great week in Florence and our stay at this hotel (6 nights) made the experience all the more enjoyable. Perfect location - just a few steps from Piazza Santa Maria Novella, and a lazy 5-minute walk from the Duomo and Piazza della Signoria. The hotel has a perfect location: 5 minutes to a train station Santa Maria Novella and 5 minutes to Duomo. It is situated right in the city sentrum what makes it a perfect place both for these people who came to Florence for exploring the city for several days and who came to do shopping. Stuff is very friendly. Everyone speaks english and tries to help when it's needed. My room and bathroom were cleaned every day and towels were changed when I needed. A

  Staffs and the Ms were very very kind, the hotel is very very near at all interested point, Duomo, Sant Lorent church, Old palace, etc..very near at the Stations. The room was cleaned. They got up in the middle of the night to call a cab and packed us a breakfast as we were leaving town. Rooms are darling and the g - Lorenzo was very nice to stay up till midnight for a late-flight check-in. The whole family was very helpful with directions, taxis, restaurants etc. Nice Italian style breakfasts were served in the charming courtyard decorated with flowers. The location being slightly out of the main town centers was a plus to ensure quiet nights, even though most main attractions are within walking distances.

  This hotel is very unique. I believe it used to be another type of building & is attached to some others. It is right near the heart of the cathedrals & shopping district. My friend & I had made our reservations just a day before we came since we had arrived in Venice after a cruise & stayed there 1 night. It has an excellent breakfast (small but tasty - Hotel La Venere gets the most points for its prime location - literally a three-minute walk to the Duomo. The hotel room was clean and very quiet, the breakfast was good, and the staff were very polite and kind (although their English was quite poor, which made communication a bit hard at times). I would definitely stay here again, mainly due to the ease of getting to/from Florence's main attractions.

  The room was perfect - it was large, had a jacuzzi bathtub which wasgreat after a long day of siteseeing! And the terrace had a fabulousview of Florence. - The rooms were very comfortable and quite! I had the best nights sleep!
