  We loved staying in this gracious palazzo. Very friendly staff who treated us like family. nothing was too much trouble. I also liked the location, away from the main tourist area but only 5 minutes walk away. The garden is also wonderful and we eat breakfast out in the sunshine each day. The staff and management treated us like family friends rather than paying guests and it was one of the friendliest hotels I have stayed. Nothing was too much trouble and there were many little extras provided free of charge, which only added to the pleasure. The room was wonderful, full of atmosphere and beautifully appointed. I would recommend the hotel to any of my friends without hesitation.

  -True Venice experience! The hotel is located on one of the small canals, so finding the hotel was an adventour in itself. Its entrance is located on a small side street and you walk through the ground floor of the building (past the canal boat entrance) to get to the rooms. It felt like we were staying in a Venice residence instead of a hotel.... what people say » - Friendly, helpful staff - Great location - few minutes away from the main tourist areas, but far enough so that it was very quite - Room was lovel - Locanda Ca Del Console is in a very good location between the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square. It isn't easy to find, but use the directions on the website along with a map and you'll figure it out eventually. The staff is very friendly, which is a big plus. We made the reservation at the last minute so we didn't have many choices. The room was big. The decor was a little strange. The breakfast was fine. Did I mention the staff is very friendly? That was the biggest plus.

  This is an good hotel for a family. The hotel staff was excellent! They really went out of their way to accommodate us. We also enjoyed having a family room as these are hard to come by.   We recently stayed at Hotel Al Piave in the 2 bedroom family suite. The rooms were clean and exactly as advertised (2 rooms and a bathroom). Prior to choosing Hotel Al Piave, I had read the negative customer ratings just to see what the worst case scenario could end being, along with how the hotel management responded. The only negative comment could have be - We had a family suite for four, ideal for us with two adult children on the trip with us. Great location for exploring Venice. Easy to get to other areas on foot. Friendly, comfortable & clean family run hotel. Lovely breakfast & rooms serviced daily with clean towels & toiletries. Staff helpful with lots of advice, maps provided & guidance for getting around & where to go.

  The room (room 106 on first floor), was big and light with two big windows overlooking the canal, one of which opened out onto a small balcony.The bed was two beds pushed together and may be a bit firm for some people. There was a big wardrobe and drawers, a 'safe' and a dressing table plus small table and two chairs, good lighting and a big mirro... what people say » r, plus large modern paintings on the wall. The en-suite bathroom was a good size and had WC, bidet, large sink, jacuzzi bath (normal size) plus tiled - This hotel was absolutely stunning! We had the junior suite with a canal view and it was amazing! The room was beautifully decorated! This hotel room, experience and location was the highlight of our trip! I highly recommend it! Even though the junior suite is a bit more money than the regular rooms, if you are wanting to treat yourself while in Italy for a couple days, I would definitely spend the extra money on this room!! Also, the breakfast was very good, even the view was amazing there! Lo
