  Really quiet, lovely spacious room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard. Good breakfast with sweet and savoury options. Able to park right outside. (Like most places in Sicily there is a confusing one way system but stick with it. Drive up through he main car park, follow the signs through the top end of the town and Il Carmine can be found al... what people say » most as you leave the town by the ports del Carmine) - Il Carmine is very conveniently located in a quiet piazza about 200m from the centre of the the old hilltop town of Erice. The town itself is very busy with tourists so this was a big help. The charcter of the hotel derived a lot from its past as a monastery. The rooms were very clean if a bit austere but that's exactly what I expected. The staff were reserved but charming.

  Location. Excellent cuisine and wait staff,especially Carmela and Alexandra. Comfortable and spacious room. Carlo very helpful with luiggage and parking. - Sitting by the fire place when the fog rolls in. We were there in March - way off season.

  The wonderful location in the heart of this atmospheric mediaeval city. Our room had a 'Romeo and Juliet' balcony, overlooking the intricately cobbled street, 2 minutes from the main piazza. There is a delightfull little courtyard for leisurely breakfasts or a quiet drink. The owner and staff were warm and welcoming - and so kind and helpful whe... what people say » n we had to deal with a family problem back home. Hoping to go back again! - This hotel is beautiful, well appointed, quiet, comfortable with a helpful staff. Our room was large and well-equipped. Walk out the door and in 3 minutes you are in the heart of Erice, enjoying the shops and the restaurants and history. Miles and miles of high view in the same block. Terrific breakfast and overall a great value. We would go back.

  Marvellous little city. Great food. The dependance we had was very comfortable and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I would warmly recommend it. - Very clean, pleasant owner!! You get medieval keys! Great establishment.
