  We booked a budget room but were upgraded, for a small negotiable additional charge, to a better room which had wonderful views over Lago Albino and facilities outside in which to relax and enjoy the view. The staff and management were very friendly and helpful; the bedroom was spacious and comfortable with cooking and fridge facilities if require... what people say » d; the dining room for breakfast was magnificent (we did not have dinner as were committed elsewhere) and were able to use the facilities uninterrupte - The breakfast while traditional was superb. The pastries were absolutely wonderful and were accompanied by your choice of beverages, yogurt, bread and homemade jam, and a hardboiled egg. The dog, Lu-La, while a Giant Canne Corso, is a cream puff who loves to be petted and will follow you all around the property but not into any of the facilities.

  This hotel is conveniently located in the centre of Rome (15 minutes walk to Termini, 5 minutes walk to Manzoni or Vittorio Emanuele subway stations). Actually, we have not used subway or buses to get to any main attractions. There is a small food shop in the next house on the street and cheap supermarket Tuodi on Buonarotti street (5 minutes walk... what people say » ). Also there are plenty of cafes nearby (including perfect coffee shop Ciamei just across the street). The hotel is located on the first floor of res - The owner Max is just a straight up nice guy, always providing great service and recommendations, to the point of making dinner reservations for us. The location is interesting as the place can be hard to find, though it is close to Termini Station and the Manzoni Metro Station.
