The locality. It is perfect. It is by Plaza Catalunya-the heart of the city. I never needed to use the taxi. Everything was close by-Plaza Catalunya was a 5 min walk, the metro was a 5 min walk, the bus stop was a 5 step walk, Las Ramblas was a 10 min walk away. The rooms were 4 star quality. Good location in spacious apartment with some character. Easy walk to Sagrada Familla, Passeig de Gracia, and La Rambla. Good distance from the port/harbour but we did it! Enjoyed the Barcelona Tourist open top bus - good way of getting around the city. Facilities were mainly good.
