  The apartment was very well presented and clean and situated in a perfect location for exploring. It was also very close to the water bus and taxi service. The apartment we stayed in was new and very well appointed and was a delight to stay in and we intend to return to this hotel on our next visit to Venice as we all enjoyed it immensely even if Venice flooded slightly while we were there and the restaurant flooded a bit as well it was all in the experience.

  -True Venice experience! The hotel is located on one of the small canals, so finding the hotel was an adventour in itself. Its entrance is located on a small side street and you walk through the ground floor of the building (past the canal boat entrance) to get to the rooms. It felt like we were staying in a Venice residence instead of a hotel.... what people say » - Friendly, helpful staff - Great location - few minutes away from the main tourist areas, but far enough so that it was very quite - Room was lovel - Locanda Ca Del Console is in a very good location between the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square. It isn't easy to find, but use the directions on the website along with a map and you'll figure it out eventually. The staff is very friendly, which is a big plus. We made the reservation at the last minute so we didn't have many choices. The room was big. The decor was a little strange. The breakfast was fine. Did I mention the staff is very friendly? That was the biggest plus.

  Our family of 4 had the apt near San Samuele. The 2 bdrms were on the 2nd floor and the kit/dining, livingroom were on the 3rd.   Were able to sleep 5 in one room for the night, very affordable, in the heart of the city, and easy enough to get to from the airport via the Alilaguna water service. We did have to haul all our cruise luggage through the streets from the stop, and over 2 canals, but was worth it in the end for the location.
