  -True Venice experience! The hotel is located on one of the small canals, so finding the hotel was an adventour in itself. Its entrance is located on a small side street and you walk through the ground floor of the building (past the canal boat entrance) to get to the rooms. It felt like we were staying in a Venice residence instead of a hotel.... what people say » - Friendly, helpful staff - Great location - few minutes away from the main tourist areas, but far enough so that it was very quite - Room was lovel - Locanda Ca Del Console is in a very good location between the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square. It isn't easy to find, but use the directions on the website along with a map and you'll figure it out eventually. The staff is very friendly, which is a big plus. We made the reservation at the last minute so we didn't have many choices. The room was big. The decor was a little strange. The breakfast was fine. Did I mention the staff is very friendly? That was the biggest plus.

  Very close to S.Marco's and easy to find. Staff very helpful. Hotel really nicely renovated, clean, cosy and welcoming. Breakfast was delivered to our room without extra charge, which was heaven ! We were there in the off season, so the room price was fantastic compared to high season rates. - I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel. If every going back to Venice, I would only stay at Locanda Al Leon!

  We loved everything about Ca' Gottardi. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Fabio was a delight, and Luke must be the most friendly and positive Italian guy we have met on our trip :) The room we had was one with a view (ask for second building) and required walking up some stairs, but we did not mind!   I had such a great time here! The place is very clean and comfortable. The décor is absolutely amazing and inviting. It makes you feel very relaxed and as if you were staying in a hotel. They have many many living rooms where you can sit and chat. The view from their terrace is stunning. I had a great view from my window. I came during off season,to visit Venice biennial, for one night I payed just 20 eur. Stayed in 3 bed room,and for both nights I was staying only with one very quiet Japanese girl. Breakfast is simple, but for me was just perfect, coffee, croissant, bread, jam. Definitely coming back again!
