Perfect Garage for car and especially for our bikes!!! - Fredrik

I stayed here only one night, sadly. The hotel was closed for 2 years while they refurbished, and the results are stunning. The lines are modern, yet in keeping with the older style. Though on a busy road, if the windows are kept closed one can hardly hear the noise. The view is lovely, and the rooms looking onto the harbour have balconies. The service was very good, they were friendly and efficient and happy to please. Only negative is that they did not have a Blackberry charger. Breakfas - Graham

I visited Grand Hotel Trieste & Victoria for the first time and I could consider the spa as a really high class of spa, the environment and professional therapists make it one of the best I ever seen. I tried many of their variety type of massages, as the stonetherapy, the chromotherapy and the ayurvedic techniques stemming from the East and I could say that everything was really good. Delightful stay in this charming old-world stylish hotel right in the centre of Trieste on the Piazza Unita d'Italia. Beds were extremely comfortable with clean crisp linen. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Didn't use the indoor pool and spa but it looked very inviting. Bars, restaurants and ice cream parlours are only a few steps away. Bus from Trieste airport cost Euro 3.25 pers if you buy tickets before boarding on 4.25 on the bus. It takes about an hour. - Ceri

I stayed here a couple of days in October with a group of friends and found my stay at the James Joyce almost perfect. Located in an old and historic alley - across its larger and more expensive Urban Hotel - the newly renovated rooms are stylish and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, with fabulous coffees made to order by a friendly and efficient staff. Historically, we have stayed at the Novo Hotel Impero when in Trieste, as we have a need to be close to the rail station. Following an ordinary experience in January, we decided to try an alternate hotel and chose the Albergo Alla Posta for our latest stay. We were certainly pleased we made the change as the hotel was first class with rooms (incl bathroom) an adequate size and also relativey quiet and very clean (although the plumbing at times was a little noisy). Stayed at the Miramare for two nights after flying into Trieste Airport before heading on to Slovenia. Bit of a concrete block from the outside but really modern and stylish once you get inside. Situated on the main A road into Trieste but traffic noise not a problem. Our room on the second floor looked out over the Bay of Trieste across a small promenade and a small bathing area. Very popular with the locals espcially at the weekends. Lovely swiming of the bathing area. Easy to get into Trieste - Gareth
