  We were immediately made to feel very welcome with a very warm greeting, presents for our kids and even given a choice of room! Room was large, clean and cool. Well equipped and the fittings were of a good quality. The pool was far better than the pictures suggest being on the roof top at the back of the hotel.   This hotel is excellent value for money, food is excellent, spotlessly clean, spacious room (basic but meets all needs). Excellent base for touring northern Tuscany . Well placed in the hills but within easy reach of all destinations. I've stayed in many high class hotels around the world but this cannot be beaten for value. Rooms were reasonable size, nicely decorated, comfortable and clean. There was a nice pool set in lovely well kept gardens. The service was friendly and efficient. Good choice at breakfast. It is set in a pleasant village in the hills above Florence with easy access to all of Tuscany, particularly Lucca, Pisa and the coast.

  What an amazing place! Lovingly restored, the house is cool and comfortable. The rooms are beautifully decorated and original features have been retained giving a real rustic but very chic feeling. Philomena is a phenomenal host!.. You are left to enjoy the gorgeous pool, the comfortable furniture dotted in areas around the property and the views... what people say » across the olive trees. But she is there if needed, full of info and suggestions to help you make the most of the location.. This is an ideal base fo - Filomena is the perfect host, serves wonderful dinners and drinks in the lovely garden.
