  Generator was a great place to stay in Venice. Even though it is on Giudecca, there is a vaporetto stop near the hostel and getting to St. Mark's Square is quick and easy. Staff were generally helpful and made a special effort to help us locate a lost piece of luggage at the airport. We stayed in a 4 bed with an en suite bathroom that was clean, s... what people say » pacious, and had a great view. The lobby was inviting and modern, and the breakfast is a good value. Certainly better than your average budget hostel. - They helped me to charge my phone when my cable got broken. Very comfortable beds with lights that don't disturb others. Quite cheap, good breakfast for additional price. It was a half-populated 16 person dorm, but it was comfortable to stay there. It is on a separate island from the city center, but public transport is working all the night so it's not a problem.

  The staff were fantastic. Both young women were friendly, courteous and helpful. When we mixed our dates up and blythely overstayed, they worked out a way to accommodate us in their fully-booked hostel. The location is terrific. We were in Venice for the Biennale and walked to all the Pavilions from the hostel. We discovered it was quicker to walk... what people say » than take a vaperetto to the Giardini and Arsenale. We also enjoyed the very social gatherings around the breakfast table with women from all corners - The space is nice to be in. I liked the old building itself with marble floors, high ceilings, big breakfast room and nice living room where guest can sit and talk, it adds to the feel of the city. It was incredibly clean during all the 5 days that I stayed. The staff is very friendly. The location is central. It's a women only place, so if you are not looking for a mixed noisy crowed it is perfect.

  Very comfortable rooms in a very nice HOTEL (not really a hostel). Staff was also great. Skipped the breakfast due to the extra fee. - The atmosphere is great; the room was large and very comfortable; the location is amazing. We fell very well.

  I really like the man in charge. He's nice and explain the places of interest for me. Also, I heard that he helped show people around as the surrounding is very tricky. You should know that all the twisted roads make it impossible for the map to work in Venice. I felt so lucky to walk out the door and have all the main places from 5_10 minutes walk. Emilio was very helpful. his instructions confused me and he came to walk with me from the water boat stop. the rooms are big and you get a big wardrobe for your things' lock included.   It's a nice place and the staff and people live there are nice. The building is cute and locates near churches and waterbus, though It's a little hard to find, but it's always hard to find a specific place in Venice. And you can check out by just left the key so it's really flexible.   It is a very good relation of price and quality. the accomodation was the cheapest i could find anywhere in center of Venice for end august, beginning of september and yet it was quite good quality. The room was o.k., i had single room. I could choose from a few shared bathrooms (with shower), that were clean and always was one of them at least em... what people say » pty. of course there was water on all floor after shower so it wasnt good to use this bathroom then, but you could go and find another bathroom and le - I heartily recommend this hostel for one reason. I made a dumb move there the first night and left my wallet in the washroom with 200€ inside. Some minutes later I realized this and thought I was surely in trouble. I opened the door to my room and about to knock was a staff member who said someone had returned the wallet. All the money was still there. I don't recommend leaving wallets around.   Mr. Marco - owner of Venice garden hostel is very nice. I checked out late until 7:00 pm because Our train was 8:30 pm and he help me to print the train ticket, give the place for my baby enjoying without any charge. Location is very good for big luggages like me. You can take a bus from Santa Lucia station and stop in Crea station to come Venice ... what people say » Garden hostel.   It was really easy to find it (but I didn't think so), rather good lokation, near supermarket "Billo". - Very good location, just 10 minutes away from the Rialto bridge. Nice staff, very helpful.

  The location serves the highest point for this hostel as it is locates very close to the St Lucia station, and it is just a few steps from a vappretto/water bus station. The man who is in charge to run the hostel is also nice to the guests. He is helpful and willing to give information of things we need, related to oir trip. He serves bread with j... what people say » am and butter, yogurt, milk and juice for breakfast which are enough for a decent meal. - The staff made my stay in Venice..was like a home from home for me. Sam and Emy were so lovely and helpful and always recommended the best places to go, never went needing anything during my stay. Close to the train station and waterbus stop is right outside. Bed was comfy and everything clean, handy having a kitchen especially when on a budget. Met some amazing people...loved it, didn't wanna leave - I'll be back (: x
