Being able to have handcrafted Italian dinners on the terrace with Chianti made from the vines just behind the villa made this a spectacular spot!   We had an appartment with one bedroom. It was spacious, quite clean and very nicely decorated. The view from the hill is very nice and the sunset can be spectaculous. Breakfast can also be delivered to your appartment on request.

  I booked a double room for just 2 pax initially but one day before arrival 2 more friends decided to join us. Luckily our room has two sofa beds, so able to accommodate 4 of us. Stayed there for just one night, we checked in late as our train was delayed. Nevertheless, the staff of Novella House, Francesco made the effort to call and check if we a... what people say » re arriving. It’s a pity that we only had a very short stay in Florence, it will be nice if we are able to stay few more nights in Novella House. Will - Novella House is renovated 1800s apartment house with original frescos on the ceilings. It is impossible to roll your luggage into the hotel but fortunately the owner took our bags up into the room (there is a small lift). Our room was spacious with a decent bed; there was a sitting area for tea and coffee, but the bathroom was so tiny, it had a foldaway shower. The room itself is quiet but outside the window you have the typical Italian street noise, maybe more so as there is a boarding house
