  When looking for a hotel in Tropea, I selected the hotel with as few as possible negative remarks. We had planned a week of relaxing in Calabria to recover from a very stressful period at work, so we really wanted a 'safe haven' where there would be no annoyances and disturbances. This B&B turned out to be perfect for that: a nice, clean room,... what people say » very friendly staff who were very helpful when we asked for information about excursions, a good shower with two shower heads (normal and 'rain showe - Beautiful building - other than Santa Maria dell'Isola, I think this was the nicest building in town. Lovely the way it is lit up at night. The breakfast was outstanding - offering all kinds of local foods I wanted to try (mozzarella di bufalo, black olives, sundried tomatoes in olive oil and many more), plus bread meat, cheese, variety of juices etc. all set in a lovely outdoor garden. Room was a bit small but decent.

  The room was very nice! - It is obviously a brand new hotel and we enjoyed the freshness of the furnishings. The use of a kitchen is fantastic if you have been travelling for months.

  We loved that it was so central. When we arrived I was not too happywith the original room given, (there was nothing wrong with it, i'm justfussy). The girl and the owner were so accomodating and showed us everyother room so we could choose ourselves. The big and wonderful breakfastin the morning was served up on the terrace by a lady who was a ple... what people say » asureto wake up to she was so helpful. - The warm service of the staff made the stay very enjoyable. The breakfasts were gastronomical and the service hospitable. A real effort was made to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. The location of the hotel was perfect, only a few hundred meters from the beach and town square. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend Villa Antica Tropea to others.

  Great location close to station beach shops etc yet in a quiet area. Manager Francesco was professional and extremely helpful. He was able to provide directions and recommendations of where to eat and how to get around. Taxi driver Antonella who attends to many of the clients was also extremely helpful and a lot of fun. - We stayed 3 nights and w... what people say » e're completely satisfied. The room included a small balcony, was most comfortable and very pleasant. The owners could not be more welcoming and helpful. We highly recommend this B&B.

  We wanted a quality hotel with a view having driven down from Tuscany to Reggio Calabria, somewhere to relax before taking the ferry to Sicily the next day.
