The owner was also particularly accommodating, allowing me to check in very early and arranging secure parking for my bike. I'd definitely stay here again.

  The Istituto is very clean and the room is well-appointed. The building itself is historic and lovely. I had a last-minute problem when my outbound flight was cancelled and the staff was very helpful and gracious.   This is a great place to stay if you are used to B&Bs and don’t need any services. I meet with the owner all of 3 minutes and never saw him again; so make sure you understand the AC/heat, remote windows etc., before he disappears. It’s a large, clean room, with excellent wifi, hairdryer, some bathroom amenities and lots of space. However it... what people say » ’s dark as the only light comes from the doors with shutters which are at street level, so women traveling alone maybe uncomfortable. The location is - Everything was great! The location is perfect for walking around the city. You're just a few minutes walk from the city center. There's awesome restaurants and shops within steps of the B&B. I'm hesitant to encourage people to visit Lecce though, because it doesn't have the hordes of tourists like Rome. I'd like it to stay that way!
