  The excellent location and warm hospitality from Ms Caterina and Ms Marcella. The traditional furnishing of the rooms. Before staying at La Papessa we read reviews on the lift that is small and erratic in its operation. Now we know that the lift is an antique but very functionable,it was quite an experience and a showpiece.   Decor - modern and appealing Breakfast was an added bonus, not normally expected in an apartment. Excellent location. - Rome is a great place to visit,we found the Romans friendly people but bad drivers(some insults were transmitted),having rented bikes made all the difference to visit the city,amazingly few people cycle around,the food is great ... what people say » and the historical mambojambo is absolutely brilliant,staying in the middle of a city does mean you get woken by loud Italian men in the morning.....and they say women talk!!!....duh... Don't forget to take enough cash......it is expensive.....
