  A modern, clean apartment on the hill above Trieste. Our apt had a spacious, well stocked kitchen which included a dishwasher and clothes washing machine, Roberto and Roberta were extremely friendly and helpful. This hotel consists of small apartments that is very good for families with children because of kitchen with microwave, dishwashing machine, washing machine and so on.

  The hotel was very nice inside and the rooms were very clean. It is only a 10 minute bus ride from the city center--the bus station and train station--with the bus stop being 100 yards away from the hotel. The hotel staff was very willing to help us with any questions we had about getting around the city.   Our mini apartment was spotless, a lot larger than expected, very well furnished, great facilities and had a larger than normal shower box. On our first night we were late in arriving and needed to get to the yacht club quickly so a taxi ride put us back just 8 euros. The owner, Lydia, was very nice and helpful with everything from restaurants to contacts with the police when we got parking fines! Comfortable rooms with a big common terrace. Well worth the money!   Hotel Victoria turned out to be a true 4-star hotel in a convenient location around the center of Trieste. The staff was most professional and attentive, not to mention fully fluent in English. The breakfast, although served in a buffet style, was lavish and tasteful like I never experienced at any other hotel. A major plus. Most enjoyable with adequate supplemental - We were travelling for our wedding anniversary and on arrival learned we had been upgraded to a suite - fantastic!! The staff were extremely helpful, directing us to parking (with a special hotel rate), recommending and booking a restaurant for our anniversary dinner (which was excellent) and even chilling a bottle of wine we'd brought with us. The room was amazing, clean and luxurious, and the breakfast was excellent. Highly, highly recommended.
