Strolling from the hotel to the Vatican or across to the river is perfect. We had been in Italy for a couple weeks and itwas the best place we stayed at!! - The staff was friendly and welcoming. The rooms were beautiful and the food was fantastic. Breakfast was excellent, consisting of cold meats, cheese, eggs, fresh fruit, cereals and numerous tarts and pastries.   We got an upgrade to an excellent room. The staff were extremely nice and helped us with our Italian. Barbara was especially nice and made our reservation at the Borgese gallery.
