  First, I need to explain that this is like a house or apartment with a small living room and kitchen area and then several floors of rooms with shared bathrooms inside of a larger building that houses other residences and some offices, as well. It is not a hotel, per se. Having the shared bathroom was not really a problem...I think there was onl... what people say » y one other room occupied on my floor and so it really was almost as if I had my own bathroom. One could use the kitchen (put items in the refrigerat - A bit of a find, this - right in the centre of Siena, the many stairs lead to a top floor maze of linked apartments managed from the floor below. Astonishing views from both communal areas and some rooms. Kitchen extremely well set up and spacious - could happily cook a family meal here if travelling on a budget. Theres even a freezer. Owners good-natured and helpful eg: allowed us to leave bags there on last day to pick up later.

  Great location and value for the money. the room was right near Piazza del Campo and we had the added advantage of enjoying the Onda's celebration for their Palio victory. The breakfast was nice and the room was suitable for our needs. The best part of the trip was the hospitality of Anissa.   This is the second time I've stayed at Casa di Alfredo and I can never believe that this place is considered a hostel and not a hotel! It is impeccably clean, and beautifully furnished. It is situated in a historic building, with frescoed ceilings and big bright windows.
