  I've been to Venice many times but never before managed to secure a reservation at the Pensione Accademia. As iconic in its class as the Cipriani or Danieli at the top end, it is famous for the charm of the staff, helpful and smiling service, perfection of the location, beautiful gardens with tables and chairs and even sunloungers, the generosity ... what people say » of the breakfasts and cicchieti offered with drinks, comfortable and well-provisioned rooms (a kettle! In Venice!!). I promise you, its all true! The - The best thing here is the receptionists. They were extremely helpful and courteous. Thank you very much Adriano and Massimo. There was no noise at all and I was able to sleep well. I don't know how it sounds in the holiday season, though. The hotel is not far away from St. Mark. You can walk or take take ?bus" to it. By "the bus" stop Academia is a small restaurant owned by a family from Tunisia. Amany was a great hostess there.

  Fabulously over the top decor. Lovely rooms. Some rooms with a small balcony on the canal side or with a canal view. Another has a balcony over the courtyard garden. Superb location (NOT in the middle of the most dense tourist areas). A must-see is the "Campo Santa Margherita" square about ten minutes pleasant walk away. This square has some lovely excellent and excellent val - This is a smaller boutique hotel with excellent service! Rooms are small but luxuriously appointed and comfortable with more storage than immediately meets the eye. Breakfast was excellent with delectable choices. The staff is kind and extremely helpful with requests and eager to make excellent suggestions for traveler's ease. The front desk managers are particularly helpful in making arrangements for transportation or restaurants/places nearby to visit. Reservations were made for us at "Carpac

  I thought the location was not exactly at the center; but it was just a 5 minutes (or less) walk from 1 of the ferry stops - Ca'Oro stop. Having mentioned that, the inn is located at a pretty location on the island city. Best of all, it was on a rather quiet street just off the main street and it was pretty quiet despite the activity (and convenie... what people say » nce) on the main street. Our Inn Keeper, Ivan was extremely friendly and helpful; he gave good information about the city and was very approachable. W - Wonderful location where, through one side of the street, you can reach the bustling main street as well as the pier in just a few steps; while the other leads you to the less visited alleys and the seaside. Nice and helpful staff. Our room is clean and comfy.

  A most enjoyable b and b, with heating ! Great room, good breakfast in beautiful hall. Will come again (though in the summer it may be too noisy). - The room was splendid and cosy. The staff was very friendly and the environment welcoming - All in all it was a success.
