  Generator was a great place to stay in Venice. Even though it is on Giudecca, there is a vaporetto stop near the hostel and getting to St. Mark's Square is quick and easy. Staff were generally helpful and made a special effort to help us locate a lost piece of luggage at the airport. We stayed in a 4 bed with an en suite bathroom that was clean, s... what people say » pacious, and had a great view. The lobby was inviting and modern, and the breakfast is a good value. Certainly better than your average budget hostel. - They helped me to charge my phone when my cable got broken. Very comfortable beds with lights that don't disturb others. Quite cheap, good breakfast for additional price. It was a half-populated 16 person dorm, but it was comfortable to stay there. It is on a separate island from the city center, but public transport is working all the night so it's not a problem.

  The hotel is positioned in a quiet side street and was a tad more expensive than we usually pay for our city breaks but we thought it was good value in relation to the other hotels in the area. But it was well furnished and we had the canal view, which was lovely. But the bed was extra- large and very comfy. The front of house were very helpful with regards to restaurant recommendations - Very central boutique hotel within 5 mins of St Marks......loved the gondolas passing the door of the hotel & some had singers/guitar players ....the singing was brilliant !!! The staff were all friendly & very helpful. The room we had was a junior suite & for 3 women sharing was a bit on the small side but we managed. I would recommend that the hotel get rid of the excercise bike & replace it with a chest of drawers or another wardrobe !!!! Breakfast was really good & plent

  Really enjoyed our stay here. Just realize that European hotels are different from us cookie-cutter hotels. Tucked away from noisy tourist crowds. Charming small pensione with fantastic views. Felt like a local. Canal views from each room, favorite part of the day was opening a bottle of proscecco and sitting in the window sill watching seranading... what people say » gondolas go by. Hot croissants, meats, cheeses, cappucinos for breakfast complete with another canal view. Simona was great. Credit cards not a probl - Great location. Air-conditioned room. Friendly owner and staff.

  We were very happy with Locanda Leon Bianco. The location was very central, ideal for our 2 night stay. The room was clean, tidy, nice decor and well appointed and very spacious. The staff were helpful, friendly and professional. - I like the location of the place that is just within easy reach of all ameneties and in the centre of the main area.... what people say » The room was maintained clean on daily basis and the breakfast was served in the room on time.
