  Everything about this hotel was excellent - it is both close to the train station and the city centre, with a range of restaurants nearby ( helpful when you arrive at 22.00 !). They were more than happy to recommend a restaurant and make a reservation for us. The facilities were impeccible. The weight room was in great condition. Amongst the frenzy of tourists and residents, the hotel was a small oasis. We had all the privacy we could ask for, and yet we were blocks from the duomo and the city center.

The train station is maybe a 10-15 minute walk, add another 15 minutes from there to Florence Cathedral.

  Hotel staff extrememly friendly, the receptionist was patient and happy for us to practice our Italian when speaking to her. When we couldn't get our tv switched on, this was fixed immediately. Our huge room was on the second floor and while the room was basic, it had a modernised style and was lovely and clean.
